While I'm certain that the founder of Miller was an immigrant, I would happily bet that he came into this country LEGALLY. He didn't jump a fence, or swim a river to come here with no skills, little or no education, have no medical check, or cause a drain on the social services of the state in which he settled like the illegals who are flooding across our southern border on a daily basis are. There was a special on PBS the other night telling about how immigrants into the US had to come through a set group of points of entry and have medical checks as well as questions about their educations and other information to insure they wouldn't be a strain on the tax payers in this country. If Illegal Aliens are such wonderful people, why do they represent over 20% of the population of our prisons but only 4% of the overall population? That indicates that they are 5 times as likely to be criminals than people who are here legally. That's not even taking into account their violation of our immigration laws or our national sovereignty to get here. Why are there over 20,000 illegal aliens who are fugitives from justice who have fled south of the border to escape prosecution? Why is it that the descendents of legal European immigrants are being called despicable names such as racist and bigots simply because we want the illegals strreaming across the border to have to abide by the same laws that our ancestors did. To obey the laws of this country, learn the language, not put a strain on the social services, not try to bote illegally, etc etc. We aren't the racists. Racists contend that one race is entitled to special treatment because of their skin color. Whites who demand that brown skinned aliens go through the same clearing process as the European immigrants did aren't the racists, the Hispanic activists who demand that the Hispanics get treated differently are. I'm all in favor of granting citizenship to any alien brought here before age 18 as soon as they learn English, serve 6 years in the military and receive an honorable discharge. I live in Phoenix, the most popular beer here among Mexicans is Bud Light. It's probably the best selling beer in Arizona. I think it makes the Mexicans feel like they've arrived in America to be drinking an American beer. Of course all of the Yuppies are running around shoving a lime in their Coronas. Exactly why would someone spend $4 - 5 dollars for a beer that they have to shove a lime into before drinking it? Hell if I want to drink something I have to shove a lime into, I spend $15 for a bottle of Tequila and it'll last me more than the couple of hours the Coronas would.
