The UN has already stated that the "New and Improved" UNIFIL force under French command WILL NOT attempt to disarm Hezbollah in Lebanon. So much for the ceasefire or the UN resolution that preceded it 5 yrs ago that called for Hezbollah to be disarmed. Leave the UN to negotiate and demand that the Israelis allow the Hezbos the chance to rearm and dig in deeper. What a flippin waste of prime real estate. If you haven’t heard Robert. Why should the U.S. be a permanent U.N. member? Just because we provide the venue, we provide the lion's share of the budget, we provide most of the muscle anytime anything gets done. And the U.S. has generally done more to help the world than any other nation. And it is a global leader and superpower. But none of that matters! Perhaps Hizbollah should take the place of the U.S. at the UN!!! It is perfectly understandable! Why should the U.S. be a permanent U.N. member?
