Hillary stood by Bill as we would expect. Dick Morris wrote The real Clinton emerges , and Boxer knocks Fox News! Might I suggest that the Democrats try to get on Fox News more often? It might help them get exposure to an audience!

President Clinton assumes that criticism of his failure to kill bin Laden is a “nice little conservative hit job on me.” But he has it backwards. It is not because people are right-wingers that they criticize him over the failure to prevent 9/11. It was his failure to catch bin Laden that drove them to the right wing.

    RICHARD CLARKE: Actually, I’ve got about seven points, let me just go through them quickly. Um, the first point, I think the overall point is, there was no plan on Al Qaeda that was passed from the Clinton administration to the Bush administration.

    Second point is that the Clinton administration had a strategy in place, effectively dating from 1998. And there were a number of issues on the table since 1998. And they remained on the table when that administration went out of office “ issues like aiding the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, changing our Pakistan policy — uh, changing our policy toward Uzbekistan. And in January 2001, the incoming Bush administration was briefed on the existing strategy. They were also briefed on these series of issues that had not been decided on in a couple of years.

    if Fox news viewers were curious of alternate views from their own, i can teach them how to change the channel in order to facilitate that.

    the only sense of humor these groups usually display is within their own circle of agreeable friends.

    they can’t keep their mouths shut, & when groups of them get together, their tone of voice would lead you to believe that they were doing the pressing and important work of foreign dignitaries.

    the tone is so vicious because often there’s so little at stake.

    does he still suck hooker toes, does anyone know? obviously he has no trouble giving the right wing a verbal euphemistic reach around.

    targeting Clinton for buying into Morris’s ‘triangulation’ theory as opposed to every other politician driven by the polls is a little disingenuous.

    Sam Adams was born on this date. his cousin John & Tom Jefferson knew something about going for the jugular.

Adams was called everything from a fool to a criminal. Claims were made that he wanted to marry off his son to the daughter of George III, creating an American dynasty under British rule. Even Alexander Hamilton, a fellow Federalist, ripped into Adams, saying his defects of character made him unfit to hold office

    No to be outdone, the Adams people accused Jefferson
    and the Republicans of being a traitorous “French Party.” A Federalist newspaper printed, “He that is not for us, is against us.”

    Federalist campaigners accused Jefferson of being a cheat, a fraud, a coward & a robber. They said he was “a mean-spirited, low-lived fellow, the son of a half-breed Indian squaw, sired by a Virginia mulatto father…raised wholly on hoe-cake made of coarse-ground Southern corn, bacon and hominy, with an occasional change of fricasseed bullfrog.”

    Hoe-cakes? Fricasseed bullfrogs?

    And some people complained about John Kerry being ridiculed for putting Swiss cheese on a Philly cheese steak ?

    Imagine us back there, taking sides against one of these fellows with all the vitriol that has always been a part of intense partisanship.

    History has taught us they were both men of good will, caught up in the cultural dynamic of their times.

    We’ve come so far.

    Richard Clarke on the Path to 9/11 movie:

    1. Contrary to the movie, no US military or CIA personnel were on the ground in Afghanistan and saw bin Laden.
    2. Contrary to the movie, the head of the Northern Alliance, Masood, was no where near the alleged bin Laden camp and did not see UBL.
    3. Contrary to the movie, the CIA Director actually said that he could not recommend a strike on the camp because the information was single sourced and we would have no way to know if bin Laden was in the target area by the time a cruise missile hit it.

    The actual history is quite different. According to the 9/11 Commission Report (pg. 199), then-CIA Director George Tenet had the authority from President Clinton to kill Bin Laden. Roger Cressy, former NSC director for counterterrorism, has written, “Mr. Clinton approved every request made of him by the CIA and the U.S. military involving using force against bin Laden and al-Qaeda.”

    Everybody lies & many have an agenda for turning a blind eye to the lie for the sake of their “truth”.

    Again, I will reiterate that regarding this topic, either Bill Clinton or Richard Clarke is lying. Bill Clinton quoted Richard Clarke, but Richard Clarke himself contradicts what Bill Clinton said.

    20- Said Clinton on Sunday: If you can criticize me for one thing, you can criticize me for this, after the Cole I had battle plans drawn to go into Afghanistan, overthrow the Taliban, and launch a full scale attack search for Bin Laden. But we needed baseing rights in Uzbekistan which we got after 9/11. The CIA and the FBI refused to certify that Bin Laden was responsible while I was there. They refused to certify. So that meant I would have had to send a few hundred special forces in helicopters and refuel at night.

    The POTUS runs the CIA and FBI and he needs no certification from them. OBL was indicted in 98′ therefore granting Bubba the authority to do what he needed, including military force to go in and get OBL.

    I want to now address the fact that the question in post 18 and that was later repeated in post 22 has not been answered.

    There is a reason why. I believe Shiloh is aware that answering this question is a no win situation. That sai, there are only two possible answers: Bill Clinton or Richard Clarke

    Choice #1: If he chooses Bill CLinton as the liar, then it will colapse everything that was said in his little tirade. It will once again tarnish the reputation of the left’s ultimate crusader and enforce the image that he was not only a liar during his presidency, but after it as well.

    Choice #2: If he choooses Richard Clarke as the liar, this colapses the assertions that he made in the book, which is much of what the left’s anti-war arguements are based on. This choice not only potrays Clarke as a liar, but has the side effect of potraying Clinton as a simpleton for beleiving him at the very least or a liar at the very most, supports the reasoning for not making Clarke Deputy Director of Homeland Security and destroys Clarke as a reputable source for the 9/11 Commision report.

    I assert that because of this, BOTH are liars and the facts in the 9/11 Commision Report are specious at best and there is much being hid by both parties.(also reference Able Danger).

    Ladies and Gentlemen- I rest my case.
