After being incarcerated for 4 months by Sheriff Joe Arpaio on charges of conspiracy to commit human smuggling, most of the illegals have said that had they known that they were going to be jailed for months before being deported, they wouldn't have come across the border. They were expecting to be deported immediately after discovery and then sneak back across the following day. Keeping them in custody for 4 months caused their families extreme financial hardship because at least had they stayed in Mexico thay would've been able to at least earn some money. When the illegals say that being held in custody deters them from sneaking across the border, take their word for it and keep them in custody for an ever increasing number of months based on how many times they've been caught. When they realize that the 3rd time they're caught illegally in the country they're going to be back in jail for a year, they aren't going to risk leaving their family penniless for a year. BTW have you seen that V. Fox is whining about the US wanting to build a fence? Of course considering that the fence has been authorized but not funded, or exempted from the environmental impact or endangered species laws, the odds of it actually being built under the current legislation is pretty damn slim. When she brought it up to her (now) previous employer, she was told that since 3 employees didn't have SSNs, the employer had put them all on hers. The employer paid the back taxes, so she didn't raise a stink over it, but she was really at risk of a variety of problems including identity theft. She quit not long after the taxes were paid. Of course if the Senate has their way, those illegals will be able to collect Social Security benefits based on HER earnings as well as theirs. She could end up getting nothing because they could end up collecting the benefits before she does. Got to love John McCain huh? They never had any in-house tools to cross reference the info..I still can't figure out how the payroll company didn't pick up on it..but she had to let 3 people go.. I don’t know why everyone gets in a hissy when you need to provide identifying documentation to work. When I hire someone, I need get (from USA citizens) a government issued ID or passport plus a SS card or orignal/certified birth certificate to statisfy the I-9. That’s been the *law* for a long long time.
