Happy 5th Anniversary from Nancy:
Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the fifth anniversary of the war in Afghanistan, which is tomorrow, October 7:
“In response to the September 11 attacks, our nation, with the support of the international community, went to war against those responsible: Osama bin Ladin and the Taliban government that protected him in Afghanistan. Our objective was to destroy them both.
“Despite the heroic efforts of our troops under dangerous and difficult conditions, that objective has not been achieved. Five years after the war in Afghanistan began, bin Ladin and Taliban leaders like Mullah Omar remain free, attacks by al Qaeda and Taliban forces are increasing, and opium production in Afghanistan is at record levels.
“President Bush’s failure to finish the job against terrorism in Afghanistan before launching his ill-advised invasion of Iraq has made the lives of the Afghan people more difficult and the American people less safe. The war against terrorism is in Afghanistan, and unless the President makes winning that war an immediate priority, the risks to the security of the United States will continue to grow.”
Yet again, disappointment and disgust for the handling of the “war” is attempted to be reflected upon our soldiers when in fact, the disgust is aimed at our leadership. Nancy is not dishonoring our troops.. she’s spitting on the failed administration who sent them in with no plan to win. Nice attempt at spin, though, Peejz.

Toasted Tofu- George Bush signed the order to send them in..from there is is the military running the war. They get the glory when due, but they also get crap like Pelosi spewed. She knows very well how the war is fought and by whom it is fought. This isn’t football where he is the coach standing on the sidelines calling the plays. On a day that she claimed to want to honor them, she should have done just that.
most of our so called government is on the side of bin laden and evil doers, becuase most of the little rats think that some how bin laden and the evil ideals of the third world will understand us by murdering our troops, it is time to see this non government for what it is and not what you want it to be, think washingion think rope think tree think freedom most of the world is evil with little people but face facts most of the evil doers are from other places inside our so called congress, I Say free us from evil doers and start to think laws and good against evil. it is black and white and in front of you.
