No Michelle, She Showed Her LACK OF Class

By: Pam On: Oct/10/06 - 10 Comments

Michelle said that Babs showed her class and I must disagree…she showed her lack of class when she told an audience member to “Shut the (expletive) up!”

Though most of the crowd offered polite applause during the slightly humorous routine, it got a bit too long, especially for a few in the audience who just wanted to hear Streisand sing like she had been doing for the past hour.

“Come on, be polite!” the well-known liberal implored during the sketch as she and “Bush” exchanged zingers. But one heckler wouldn’t let up. And finally, Streisand let him have it.

“Shut the (expletive) up!” Streisand bellowed, drawing wild applause. “Shut up if you can’t take a joke!”

Gee, how rude of that man to have spent upwards of $1800.00 for that ticket and expect her to sing!

I can remember seeing that snotty vixen when Judy Garland presented her on her show in the early 1960s and I took an instant dislike to her. “Gawd,” I thought, “She is so FULL of herself!”

If Streisand and her Hollywood pals are so sure they could do a better job in Washington — why don’t they buy an office there like all of our politicians have done ???

Barbara Streisand is a talented artist and a wonderful entertainer. However, when going to a show most people do not want to listen to their politics unless it has historically be an integral part of their art form

Liz Smith did her column on that very subject Ted. She worded it much the way you did. She said she and others felt uncomfortable because it was unnecessary and dragged on for too long! Praised the talent but wished she would just do what the audience came for..to hear the voice sing!

Does anyone who’d pay that much for a Steisand ticket not already know her politics?

Treckler, other than Rosie, I have heard the same thing from some of her biggest fans..there is a time and place for everything and for that kind of money they want to hear her sing…from what has been reported..if she wanted to do it, limit it to 5 minutes..but a 1/2 is a tad too long!
