“So You’re A Bullshitter”
A line spoken by Bea Arthur in History Of The World Part I….but could easily be used to describe Howard Dean after this laughable excuse for why he will not debate Ken Mehlman. Dean pulled out of a Meet The Press engagement last year at this time. (H/T to Ian) Here is the link to the video, and the transcript as provided by The Political Pitbull :
Q: Why won’t you make TV appearances with RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman? We’ve tried to book you a number of times on various NBC programs and been told by your staff that you won’t make appearances with him. Why?
DEAN: The reason I don’t do that is because the spectacle of the debate overwhelms the desire to get message out and talk about policy and serious issues. You know, a lot of what happens on television is what I call infotainment. And I don’t think that’s a particularly good thing. Interviews like this give us a particularly good chance to talk about our message. Debates with Ken simply inflame things and it looks um, gladiatorial contest. I’m interested in getting the message out not gladiatorial conferences, er, contests for the sake of entertainment.

This line could apply to Michael J. Fox and the Meathead when it comes to “medical” causes the Left can politicize.

Great point. Michael J Fox fails to use the phrase “embyonic stem cell research” in those political ads….I wonder why?

2, because in his Missouri ad specifically he’s supporting Amendment 2 which would put the right to CLONE HUMANS into the Missouri Constitution. Amendment 2 does not mention anything about Stem Cell research which is legal in both MD and MO, but you wouldn’t know that from the way Fox is lying.
