I guess I am not seeing the story here. Well, actually I see a different story. Media Matters claims:”An internal ABC Radio Networks memo obtained by Media Matters for America, originally from a listener to The Peter B. Collins Show, indicates that nearly 100 ABC advertisers insist that their commercials be blacked out on Air America Radio affiliates.” How did the listener get his hands on the memo? Can you blame companies for wanting to get the most out of their advertising? Does Air America even have any listeners?
means nothing:roll:
I listen to it. Calms my nerves after listening to people like Sean Hannity, or even Rush and his mocking terminally ill Americans.
Tofu, did you even listen to Rush’s show? I did. He did NOT mock Michael J. Fox, he said that he had never seen Michael J. Fox suffering from the symptoms of Parkinson’s as badly as he was during the commercial, and that Fox must be either “off his meds or acting. He is an actor after all.” He then went on to say how badly he felt for Fox’s suffering from Parkinson’s. His staff then found where Fox admits in his autobiography that to make his point as to how devastating the disease is, he frequently goes off his meds before doing appearances.
Rush did comment that Fox shouldn’t be making the inaccurate and misleading comments simply to promote a candidate unless he had been duped about the value of Embryonic Stem Cell research, which has been proven to be utterly worthless. Fox’s position was also hurt by the fact that his commercial was run to support Cardon in Md (who actually voted against embryonic stem cell research) and also the fact that Fox admitted to never having read the amendment that he had been supporting in Mo.
The entire hoopla about this has been strictly a liberal smear campaign that morons who didn’t even hear what was said are piling on Rush over a lie about what he said.
4-the fact that Media Matters is being cited really is disingenuous.
every time i have sourced Media Matters, it has been rejected as ‘far left’ & not worthy of trust.-An internal ABC Radio Networks memo obtained by Media Matters for America, originally from a listener to The Peter B. Collins Show,
And now you see why your source if unacceptable..and i haven’t even touched on the fact that MM is trying to make some story out of the fact that advertisers don’t want their product being advertised on AA:roll:
3- FAO–don’t forget the fact that Fox has said he hasn’t read the amendment and he is not qualified to speak to it…
