Osama…Obama…Fo-Fama…Kennedy…mangled the name of the Democrats’ new star, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, calling him “Osama bin…Osama…Obama.”

I did love one readers reaction to this: Teddy just loves to remind us why he was only Kennedy nobody bothered to assassinate.

The problem here is I don’t think this was a joke to Kerry- I think he meant what he said.

There are plenty of elitist liberals that holds this view point- why would Kerry be any different?

shitho, Kerry has a LONG history of denigrating the troops. He looks down on them, and everyone else. He called the troops terrorists last year. Only partisan fools like you try to spin Kerry out of this one.

Kerry is persona non grata on the campaign trail. No Democrat wants Kerry focusing the electorate on the Democrat party’s disdain for the military and their constant undermining of the troops.

Shiloh said: “Reading the context of his remarks; watching the video, one has to stretch credulity to think he called the troops stupid.”

No, you don’t at all. It is the general view of the elitists left that one has to be an idiot to join the military these days. Kerry is a member elitist left.

You can be an apologist for him all you wish, but those facts won’t change.

Sometimes 2+2=4. It may have been a slip, but it was a Fruedian slip.

You are correct. Kerry does have a history of denigrating the troops.

Dems are distancing themselves from him as we speak. It may even eliminate him from an ‘08 run at the Presidency as it was appearing he was considering it.

Lurch is his own political worst enemy. He doesn’t have enough self-awareness to avoid allowing his true persona to come to the surface and destroy his credibility and his image.

He is a jackass, imo, and so are the klowns who have kept him in office.
