Looks Like The Left Has Lost That Edge In The Polls

Much like it was in November of 04′, the race is proving to be neck and neck…Last week the polls showed an 11-15% gap with the left leading. And now we have a Washington Post/ABC News poll showing only a 6% lead for the dems! And then we get to the PEW POLL: Summary of findings: A nationwide Pew Research Center survey finds voting intentions shifting in the direction of Republican congressional candidates in the final days of the 2006 midterm campaign. The new survey finds a growing percentage of likely voters saying they will vote for GOP candidates. However, the Democrats still hold a 48% to 40% lead among registered voters, and a modest lead of 47%-43% among likely voters.
The narrowing of the Democratic lead raises questions about whether the party will win a large enough share of the popular vote to recapture control of the House of Representatives. The relationship between a party’s share of the popular vote and the number of seats it wins is less certain than it once was, in large part because of the increasing prevalence of safe seat redistricting. As a result, forecasting seat gains from national surveys has become more difficult.

If the Republicans win, the line will be, “See the American people have spoken.” If the Democrats win, the line will be, “The American people got cheated and lied to by Hollywood, and the Klintonites (I think that’s how Robert seems to spell… i never fault him for his misspelling!)”

Please don’t ban shiloh. He provides a valuable service, a constant reminder lest we forget of how people can be duped into ignoring the obvious and defending the indefensible.
He’s also a great punching bag, like those inflatable clowns with weighted bases that pop up every time they are knocked down.

Why do they not post? They are both smart, conservative, and they freaking founded this web-site. Why do they not post? I think I know the reason… But perhaps the rest of you could consider the question yourselves….
How many times was I called a moron because I said that political power (in America) was like a pendulum? If it doesn’t happen tomorrow. It will happen. The Democrats will regain control. Then the Republicans will regain control. Then the…………. Do I really have to spell it all out for you guys?

All one has to do is look at history to see this is correct, although the pendulum swings differently depending on the branch of governement.
However, history also dictates that occasionally there is a radical change…

Please show us where you were called a moron for telling us how the election cycles work..I don’t recall anyone taking you to task for that, other things yes, but never for explaining to us that sometimes the right wins and sometimes the left wins.
Reilly has been gone for almost a year..Lives in Japan last I heard. Lisa does still blog here and she still owns the site. She has been posting but out of the last 14 posts, you have commented 1 time. You told her to post more on the 1 you commented on..then she posted 13 more times and no comments from you..

Oh Peejz. I wish I could. Unfortunately my situation has changed and I don’t have the time I used to. I have to depend on my memory which isn’t always perfect; but people most certainly did disparage me for suggesting that Democrats would someday regain control.
(But not to worry: Republicans will then regain control someday: And guess what happens next

I had no idea. I respect her opinion a lot. I will try to go back and read what she wrote. Again; I don’t have the time I used to.
That is partially why the quality of my posts isn’t what it used to be. But it’s not my fault. It’s the crack pipe. If the Democrats were serious about the “war on drugs”you wouldn’t have to put up with my sub-par posts.
