UPDATE 11-11-06 H/T to Ian who asked: If Hugo loves Saddam so much, why doesn’t he take the real genocidal monster in?

  • In a speech Tuesday, Chávez criticized the decision of an Iraqi court to sentence former dictator Saddam Hussein to the death penalty. ‘’If sentencing is to be done,” Chávez said, “the first one to be given the most severe sentence this planet has to offer should be the president of the United States, if we’re talking about genocidal presidents.”
  • Hugo goes on to say that 9/11 was self inflicted:

  • His comments, which were fairly typical of his recent attacks on Bush, came shortly after the publication of a resolution by Venezuela’s legislative National Assembly describing the 9/11 attacks as ‘’self-inflicted” and after an exhibition at the Foreign Ministry building in Caracas in which Bush was portrayed as a Nazi storm trooper.
  • Citgo launched an ad campaign amid backlash of Hugo at the UN. I didn’t buy then and I won’t buy now!

CITCO is owned by Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. He obviously doesn’t care whether the United States is his customer or not, so let’s BOYCOTT CITCO

I wonder what his motivations are for supplying free heating oil to Americans?

I think his country would like to know as well. If it can be disounted, why not drop the price for all?

You got that right! I’m never stepping foot into a Citgo again. I didn’t really believe that Chavez had anything to do with Citgo until I started researching. It’s not even hidden on the Citgo site… it’s right out in the open.

We need to cripple Chavez financially and perhaps then he’ll give America some respect.

      I am a venezuelan citizen.
It`s true that CITGO is 100% property of PDVSA , this negotiation was made in 1998, at that time venezuelans didn´t know that HUGO CHAVEZ will do the reforms he is doing toward a Castro-Cuban regimen.
Today I can´t blame on people that wants to boycott CITGO because of HUGO CHAVEZ speach against pressident Bush and America. I think he´s krazy “Megamano”, cheater, abusser, etc.
I´m Democrat like most here in Venezuela. We don´t want him but he has got a lot of power. What I don´t really know is weather the boycot could become a bumerang and he could use it to show the rest of the world as a MARTYR and start saying “look how good I´m and look how THE EMPIRE i´ts traying to stop this marvelous movemet to save the world”.
CHAVEZ took control of PDVSA because this man dismissed 28000 people from industry, people that wanted to do good buiesness whith USA a the rest of the world. But now he is running PDVSA whith his family, relatives cubans, iranias and every kind of shit. Maybe he is doing as his plans, to provocate USA not to boycott CITGO but something more evil. Be aware please and dont make mistakes.
      Thank you…

I buy Mobil gas anyways. Plus it’s cheaper than Citgo!
