Pelosi Vs Chavez The (D) Makes The Illegal Status Disappear….
“We pledge to make this the most honest, ethical, and open Congress in history.” said Nancy Pelosi
Linda Chavez watched her nomination for Secretary of Labor go down the drain because she had employed an illegal immigrant to work in her home. What a difference 6 years and a political party make…Nancy Pelosi will become the Speaker Of The House and she has a whole vineyard of illegals.
As Peter Schweizer notes in his best-selling expose of liberal hypocrisy, “Do As I Say (Not As I Do),” part of the fortune of this defender of the working man is a Napa Valley vineyard worth $25 million that she owns with her husband. The vineyard produces expensive grapes for high-end wines. Napa grapes bring up to $4,000 a ton compared with $300 a ton for, say, San Joaquin grapes.
But Pelosi, winner of the 2003 Cesar Chavez award from the United Farm Workers, hires only nonunion workers and sells these grapes to nonunion wineries. [....]
Which makes Pelosi’s steadfast opposition to any attempts to enhance border security and stem the flow of illegal immigration into the U.S. all the more interesting since she seems to be among those rich employers who financially benefit from a steady supply of cheap foreign labor. [....]
Nor has Pelosi been a fan of employer sanctions against the hiring of illegal aliens. In 2003, she accused immigration officers of conducting “terrorizing raids” on Wal-Mart stores that led to the arrest of more than 300 illegal aliens.
Loraine Stewart, a farmworker advocate with Napa Valley Community Housing, in a 2004 San Francisco Chronicle article estimated that half of the migrant labor force in the valley consisted of undocumented workers, without whom “not one bottle of wine would get made here.”
For all the backing she receives from the unions, one would expect she utilize them…Do as she says, not as she does….H/T to a Hot Air reader for pointing out this video explaining Nancy.
Care to give your thoughts on Nancy, Hastings, Abscam Murtha, Land deal Reid, Conyers etc…?????

The Democrites are well on the way to reminding America that the Democrite Party is the leader in hypocrisy.

Shiloh, Nice to see you are back. I haven’t been around much,,, I am in Iraq , and don’t get many chances to get email and internet. Did you just come around to gloat? I can see why the Repubs lost. Mistakes, amplified and willingly talked into the ground by the media, letting the Dems get on the offensive. No problem. Your lefties will show their true colors soon, because the left cannot fathom regular Americans not wanting nationalized healthcare, their twisted form social justice, higher taxes, and a queer in every pup tent. All the right has to do is just wait,,,, and let the left cut their own throats.
Nice to hear from ya.

Hey John! Huaaaahhh!!!
I was listenting to a Twisted Liberal on a radio talk show the other night and his assertion was that the Democrites won because America wants the Democrite way! America is ready to fundamentally change and wants to fully embrace the Democrites in every way and discard the Republicans, Conservatism, etc.!!!
I think the voters punished the republicans for straying from their core values.
So we’ll see. The Democrites are going to change/damage/destroy every thing they can in the next two years. They can’t help themselves; they have been seething with rage for 6 years and they will not be able to control themselves.
We’ll see if the voters get their fill of the Democrites, and if the Republicans can get back on course.
Let’s just hope the Democrites don’t damage this nation too deeply meanwhile.

Hey Robert, I am just having a ball here. I have a barn with a view of the Tigris river.. LOL! I want to build a winter home here for retirement. I do agree that voters punished the Pubs for straying from values. They were too focused on power and preception and didn’t stick to their guns. In essence they became like the spinless dems they replaced. It won’t be long before the Dems show how silly and stupid they are. Fear not. I hope the conservatives have learned a lesson from this.

John, there you are relaxing and taking in the river view! And I am at work slaving away to pay taxes so I can support illegals! Just kidding.
Best regards and take care!

Some of the Republicans who lost were Rinos anyway so no great loss other than control of the Senate for two years. Many of the new Dems are blue dog conservative dems. They ran on conservative values, let’s see what happens when they have to choose between siding with the Republicans or going against their own campaign promises.
As for Bob Ney in Ohio’s 18th congressional district being corrupt, that’s old news. They’ve had corrupt politicians of both parties in that district since I was a kid there 25 years ago. Wayne L. Hayes had a secretary on the payroll who didn’t type a word. BTW unless they’ve gerrymandered the state ridiculously, the 18th district is nearly, if not, adjacent to John Murtha’s district in PA.

What does Pelosi know about ethics? Especially since she was fined $21,000 by the FEC for accepting illegal campaign contributions!

The question now is: WHEN will Nancy Pelosi resign? Should Ted Kennedy resign? Should John Kerry resign?
This is what they’d say about any Republican in such circumstance…
