Zelda- I appreciate knowing when people get caught in the spam filter..it's a pain, but it really is a good system..I too get caught up in it. Don't be surprised if your comment shows up within the week,as it won't delete you. You are caught in the moderation mode.I went to bed Saturday night and had cleared out the spam, by the time I woke up in the morning, there were 2300 sitting in spam:eek:

I posted; I didn't see it; so I tried to post again. It told me something like "you already posted this...". I don't suspect any malice.

I basically said that...

"Do they truly want positive change, and are tired of their leader's empty rhetoric?"applies to both sides.

Also, that I didn't really mean Senator McCain so much as someone more realistic and open minded.

"Let me see why..sorry!"Now I feel bad. I'm not trying to make more work for you...

For once I am going to have to agree with Bill Clinton. He said the other day that the slim majority and even slimmer margins for victory for the Dems did NOT represent a mandate only a chance to prove that can do better. With fewer than 10,000 votes separating the winners from losers in many of the Democratic victories, and many of the new Dems actually being CONSERVATIVE Democrats, the liberals may find themselves sadly disappointed. For the Dems to retain their majorities they can't try and push through any major liberal agendas or the BLUE DOG Dems will be tossed out and the Republicans will regain power. For the Democratic party to regain its national prominence, it'll have to return to the conservative ideals of John Kennedy instead of the drunken idiocy of his youngest brother. Remember JFK said "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." That hardly sounds like the current Democratic party that pushes for gun control, unlimited welfare, confiscatory tax rates, and universal health care.

Zelda, you just don't get it yet.

I am NOT a Republican- I never have been and I never will be. I hate the parties with the very core of my being.

Please, stop making such ignorant assumptions.

As for this: "Senator Mccain is your only hope." I agree with with SFL, but not for the reason stated. I see no hope on the horizon from either party.

It was intersting to me that the House Dems did not vote per their acknowledged their leader.

That is a good sign, IMO.

<em>"Senator Mccain is your only hope."</em>

Nah. McCain doesn't get it either, Zelda. His Iraq Solution is to <strong>INCREASE </strong>troop levels.

That's a real winner of an idea there, John.

These people just...don't...get it.

Holy shit! You Republicans are so screwed in 2008 and you don't even get it yet.

Are the Dems in rebellion to their leaders? Do they truly want positive change, and are tired of their leader's empty rhetoric?

Only time will tell.
