I say send all the malcontents like shitto and solarc to Iraq without weapons or bodyguards. Let them try their crapola on the Iraqi insurgents. If they are right, then there will be peace, maybe with Saddam in power. If they are wrong, as usual, we won’t hear from them again.

Okay, let’s get one thing straight. The Constitution calls for a COMMANDER IN CHIEF, not a committee in chief. There is a reason why it’s set up that way. Commanders make decisions and then execute them. Committees are too busy trying to come to a consensus to actually do any damn thing.
As for Bill Clinton governing from the center, do you really believe any of that would’ve happened without the Republican majority in the House? Of course you might consider his continual and relenting destruction of the military and intelligence capacities of this country as ruling from the center, as well as his historic increase in tax rates (not revenues, rates). Welfare reform wasn’t his idea, he simply knew that the public was up in arms over the 29 yr old welfare slug (with 9 illegitimate kids) in Massachusetts telling Dukakis that she had the right to have as many children as she wanted and that the government had a responsibility to provide her with free housing and the means to support them.
