‘Don’t Tell Mama I’m for Obama,’
This is the unofficial slogan for Barak Obama’ campaign..and just who is mama? Hillary! I say without hesitation that the press that Barak is receiving is the very thing that did Howard Dean in. The press built up this image that couldn’t be sustained by the candidate. For the record, I find Barak to be a hell of a lot smarter than Dean, but I fear that any chance the man has will be destroyed by the press. Here is what is being said:
“If I was part of Hillary Clinton’s inner circle right now, I’d be worried about Obama,” said Democratic strategist Donna Brazille. “He has the ability to raise money. He also has the ability to tap into a vast network of activists.”
Obama supporters point out that his mere existence brings out Clinton’s greatest vulnerability as a public figure ” likeability.
His staffers jokingly say, “Don’t tell mama I’m for Obama.”
“Mama,” of course, is Clinton.
It may be, as Clinton allies argue, that Obama does more to hurt the other Democratic presidential hopefuls, such as John Edwards or John Kerry, than the powerhouse Clinton.
Either way, Obama will leave New Hampshire tonight setting a pretty high bar for visits to the Granite State, especially considering he’d never even set foot in this state until late Saturday evening.
Don’t count Hillary out. She has more power than most are willing to giver her credit for, and let’s not forget that she has an ace up her sleeve…many of us faulted her for not divorcing Bill, but would there be talk of an 08′ run if not for him?  He is the best thing going in that party and we know who he will be supporting…a deal is a deal.

Isn’t it interesting. Bush did cocaine as a youth so dems brand him a stupid party boy, Obama does cocaine as a youth and he’s brilliant and respectable.

[...] I mentioned in this thread that 2 years is just enough time for the press to destroy a candidate. As it stands, Obama is the favored candidate of the press, but I was most happy to see that Mark Warner is contemplating a run. Allahpundit feels that : Warner’s the only serious rival she has as the centrist alternative to Obama and John “Great Society”Edwards. Although if he comes back in and runs to her right, it makes her look a bit more liberal by comparison. That’ll help her in the primaries, not so much in the general election. His big, and really only, problem is name recognition. If he can get his Q score up, he’d be serious trouble. In fact, a Warner/Obama ticket would probably be the most threatening one we could face. [...]
