Matthias, you are once again showing your ignorance. Jack Idema is NOT a POW, nor is he a captured enemy combatant. He was charged with a crime, convicted and then had his conviction overturned on appeal and therefore his continued detention is in violation of the law of the very country that he is being detained in. The prisoners at GITMO are illegal, nonuniformed enemy combatants in an ongoing war. As Illegal enemy combatants, the Geneva conventions allow for them to be EXECUTED following a military tribunal to determine their status. They are NOT criminals who have broken a law, nor are they prisoners of war. They are nonuniformed, illegal combatants and therefore under international law are to be treated the same as spies or saboteurs and executed accordingly. Go back to your copies of Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto and leave running the world to those of us with a clue. BTW since you’re so intent on correcting everyone’s German, here’s on of the two or three phrases I picked up from the soldiers who worked for me. scheiÃŸ Kopf.
