The unelected thousands who really run Congress is a Staff Infection
BUMPED TO THE TOPÂ
“Every member of this House knows how important it is to have good staff. These are the people who run this institution from day to day. . . . We, as members of Congress, place our trust and careers in their capable hands every day.”–Tom DeLay
John Fund puts some perspective on how powerful the unelected members of Congress are:
I brought up the cost of the staff in this thread, and Ted made the comment, “They are costing us our hearts and our souls, more valuable than any monetary worth.” He is more right than he knows!
By the way, there are 435 elected members of Congress and 100 elected members of the Senate. For each person we elect, we employ 31.77 people to work with them!

A Positive Iraq Plan for the Democrats
I’ve been thinking about what the Democrats could do to make radical Muslims more comfortable with America. Pulling out of Iraq is a start, of course, but it’s proving difficult to get any real consensus on how and when to…

Tom Clancy knew this fact well and wove it in to most of his successful novels.
Sad fact is universities like Columbia’s New School are churning out thousands of these aparatchiks each year.

I can’t seem to post under the name of Drake for some reason. Anyhow, it could be worse, if Edwards is elected this guy could be his economic advisor.

The only problem I see with this situation is if these staffers are not Liberals. But fortunately the colleges, which have been almost completely taken over by our heroes such as Ward Churchill, are turning out thousands of good Liberals each year.
So I think it is safe to say we are now firmly in control, and will further consolidate that control as time goes on.
Soon it will be illegal/impossible to be anything but a Liberal.
