Here is the Druge link to the Democratic rebuttal. I am highlighting this section as it has me steaming:
There are two areas where our respective parties have largely stood in contradiction, and I want to take a few minutes to address them tonight. The first relates to how we see the health of our economy – how we measure it, and how we ensure that its benefits are properly shared among all Americans. The second regards our foreign policy – how we might bring the war in Iraq to a proper conclusion that will also allow us to continue to fight the war against international terrorism, and to address other strategic concerns that our country faces around the world.
When one looks at the health of our economy, it’s almost as if we are living in two different countries. Some say that things have never been better. The stock market is at an all-time high, and so are corporate profits. But these benefits are not being fairly shared. When I graduated from college, the average corporate CEO made 20 times what the average worker did; today, it’s nearly 400 times. In other words, it takes the average worker more than a year to make the money that his or her boss makes in one day.
1. If you lose in Iraq, you may as well consider the WOT a failure. What other pressing issue is facing us? Where is it that we are not sending our troops? NATO is in charge of Afghanistan.
2. Fairly shared? Please explain to me how fair it is to insist that those that are productive and work their asses off should be forced to pay for a segment of society that considers making a living off the system, a career?
Any thoughts?

Talk about making sense!
Webb’s response was spot-on target.
Yeah George your personal vendetta’s coming up against a wall. It’s over. Turn in your chips and hang your head in shame. Go home to Crawford and hang out by that pond with the other LAME DUCKS.
Pity your body count is so high. The “ducks” won’t want anything to do with you.
1- Oh please..and who would you have him surrender to? The democrats? Please..There are far too many wealthy ones that just won’t allow the social legislation promised. The dems have said they can not stop him in Iraq..Please!
Morwe rhetoric from Webb. Like Obama, sounds fine on the surface, but the details are what matter:
There are two areas where our respective parties have largely stood in contradiction, and I want to take a few minutes to address them tonight. The first relates to how we see the health of our economy – how we measure it, and how we ensure that its benefits are properly shared among all Americans.
Translation: Tax the hell out of business and the people who are working hard, investing, and creating the wealth in this country to buy votes with and support the Virtual Plantation.
The second regards our foreign policy – how we might bring the war in Iraq to a proper conclusion that will also allow us to continue to fight the war against international terrorism, and to address other strategic concerns that our country faces around the world.
Translation: Undercut Bush, do not allow Bush to have any successes, at whatever cost to the Nation.
The Democrite party is an organized crime syndicate. Whatever the republicans are, and they are far from my ideal, the Demotrash are even lower in the political slime pond.
It is time to end the two-party domination. We need ast least 2 more viable political parties.
I couldn’t agree with you more Robert. Personally I hope Pres.Bush vetoes every single bill the dems send up and when it’s time for elections again they have absolutely zilch to show for their efforts. I would definitely support the idea of two more political parties showing up. I wonder how one goes about getting one?
What is really scary though is that it seems alot of Americans have given up fighting terror and if that’s true we are going to have a really scary attack somewhere down the road. I predicted 9/11 although I didn’t predict it’s magnitude. Lately I’ve been getting the same feeling.
Hi BonBon! I agree about another 9/11. Much of America has gone back to sleep, others have succumbed to the BHDS propaganda, and a small core still knows we have to deal with the Jihadists.
It will unfortunately take a major crisis, like another, bigger 9/11, to finally get this Country on track and doing what it needs to do.
Hi Robert:lol: Hope you are well.
I just hope that there are no attacks in or around the Wash. DC area. I live in Maryland about 5 miles from the DC line. I often shudder.
Wow, you are pretty close to ground zero. Fortunately I live far enough out of Silicon Valley now that if the balloon goes up there I won’t be directly affected.
When that happens the same klowns that obstructed Bush ever since the day he took office will be berating him for not doing enough.
