Nifong Charged With Additional Ethics Complaints
I don’t think he will get out of this, and I will disagree with Allah and bet he will be disbarred.  Because of the legal input Allah has been providing, and given the fact that the NC Bar has had a file open on Nifong since last March, he won’t be getting a warning. I agree with Allah that there are more than likely other allegations that they were investigating and then this came along.
The North Carolina Bar today filed an amended complaint accusing Nifong of withholding DNA evidence from the defense and making misrepresentations to the presiding judge in the case. The Bar has accused Nifong of conduct that involves “dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.” Nifong also allegedly violated a rule that “prohibits an attorney from knowingly making false statements of material fact.”:
Nifong could receive anything from private reprimand to disbarment in connection with the ethics charges. If disbarred, Nifong would have to give up his seat as Durham County District Attorney.

The test results from DNA Security of Burlington found DNA from at least four unidentified men in and on the accuser and excluded the entire lacrosse team as the source. The bar’s complaint said Nifong hid these results from defense lawyers, who repeatedly asked for all DNA test results. Nifong then lied to the court, either on paper or in direct comments to a judge, on five occasions, the complaint said.
When the State Bar notified Nifong on Dec. 20 that the organization was investigating the withheld evidence and false statements, Nifong acknowledged that he knew of the DNA results in April and May, the complaint said. Nifong told the bar that he withheld the results out of concerns for the players’ privacy concerns.
He admitted to withholding the information, and he lied to one too many people to cover up his misdeed! I would hope that the NC Bar carefully reviews this and does disbar him. Allah added that Nifong’s lead investigator was the subject of ethics complaints in the past, but the charges were never proven.  Fair enough. These types of charges are hard to prove, but in the case of the Duke players, this is pretty clear cut.

maybe justice will be served. hopefully this is the first of many misconduct charges to be leveled against nifong. hopefully Durham and the State of NC is sving up to pay restitution to the boys whose lives they’ve allowed to be destroyed.

Nifong ought to be put on a chaingang with some of the most violent real criminals he put away.
Hey, anyone ask Jesse Jackson to help pay damages here? I didn’t think so, but it would be a necessary step to clean up the liberals.
ALSO, WHAT ABOUT THE 88 DUKE PROFESSORS THAT CONVICTED THESE PLAYERS AND THEN PERSECUTED THEM? Are they going to be allowed to skate scot-free?

I think State prison is an appropriate place for Nifong. I heard that Duke U. is trying to clean up its image. I hope that they realize their “image” is one of a knee-jerk, politically-correct administration that is quick to hang people out to dry, especially when the race card is played.
Everyone who participated in that should publicly apologize, admit they are dipshits, then probably resign.
The taxpayers shouldn’t pay. Nifong, JJ, and anyone else that publicly attacked and smeared these students should he held responsible.
