Human caused global warming is a scientific reality. The implementation of nuclear power is a policy issue. I limited my comments to the former.

Pretending that the latter is a blindspot in my argument is like rejecting what I'm saying because I haven't taken a stand on cockfighting in Tijuana.

Personally, I'm not opposed to nuclear power, especially if it is handled safely (i.e., no dunces like you running the reactors) and if it helps us to cut down on human caused global warming. This has nothing to do with the reality of human caused global warming, though. Still, it's nice that you'd like my opinion on it.

I never brought up nuclear power to begin with, Robert. I am. Yet another series of questions you won't/can't answer. The problem is they are all part of the same issue.

You've run out of bullets a long time ago. If you want to see a moron, look in a mirror.

I never brought up nuclear power to begin with, Robert. I also never brought up Gore. I've been talking about the scientists involved in the IPCC and the fact that both Exxon and the Bush Administration accepts their findings, as well as the former's admission to paying fringe groups to debunk legitimate science. That's it. Everything else will be decided by the policy makers.

You're grabbing at straws, moron.

AKD: Here's another question I bet you can't or won't answwer: If the human CO2 emission is such a factor in GW, why aren't the gurus, like Al Gore, strenuously promoting an American changeover to nuclear power on a massive scale?

42% of ALL the CO2 generated in Kalifornia is from power generation. Going nuke would eliminate that, plus free up huge supplies of nat gas that could be used to replace imported oil for transportation.

So why aren't the GW zealots promoting nuke power in America? Why did Al Gore block any attempt to build more nuke plans while he was in charge of the EPA during the Klinton admin?

I'll propose two possible answers:

1. Al Gore is an idiot, who knows nothing about science, and he's still thinking about the Jane Fonda "China Syndrome" movie. The dope doesn't understand that nuclear power is both clean and safe.

2. The International Socialists pushing the GW scare want to have more control over your lives and your economy. They aren't interested in real solutions, just ways to assert more control. And this is the perfect means for them.

Got a better answer, AKD? And don't bother talking about nuclear power plant hazards and the waste disposal issue. Those problems were solved long ago. If you parrot them you will just be displaying abysmal ignorance.

Two simple phrases for the Global Warming alarmists to look up. "Climatic optimum" and "Little Climatic Optimum." Both are historical periods of temperatures ABOVE the current levels. Of course the fact that from 1550 through 1850 the world was in a mini Ice Age which the temps are still recovering from certainly makes the gloom and doom alarmists look like idiots to anyone who evaluates their claims with a critical eye. Yes the Earth is warming up. It's not going to be as hot as it was 1000 years ago, even at the current rate, for a century. Anyone with a brain knows that when you heat an ice cube it gets warmer and melts. If Mount Saint Helens puts more CO2 and ash into the air in one eruption than the US does in a century, exactly how is the US industrial base responsible for global warming? Inquiring minds want to know.

no, Patricia, global warming is not ‘indisputable’

From Delaware online there was a letter published that I thought warranted a few answers. What’s great about letters to the editor is that they just sit there without a response; and the editors can decide whether or not to publish responses.
