You’re Too Stupid To Realize That WaPo And WaPo-online “are interlocking yet separate”
Read what Deborah Howell has to say about the William M. Arkin firestorm that has erupted! If her intention was to inflame the issue even more so than Arkin did, then she succeeded!Â
Here is what ALLAPUNDIT had to say:
By which she means the print version of the paper, not the online version that hosts his blog. (Although, according to the editor of WaPo.com, Arkin’s column didn’t meet his standards, either.) It seems there’s a big difference between the fast-paced, seat-o’-the-pants standards of the electronic edition and the tough, exacting editorial scrutiny demonstrated by the ink-and-paper crew when they’re taking dictation from Carl Levin and rushing into print every crumb of Bush-bashing garbage that falls from his mouth.
Nice to see they think so highly of their Internet presence, though. Arkin doesn’t meet the Post’s standards, but he certainly meets Keith Olbermann’s.
I suppose that the blogs that do well and don’t cause a firestorm like this did, would be included under the “meets our standards” category?

I saw what that degenerate pos Arkin wrote about the U.S. military and I wanted so badly to beat him senseless. He is a maggot of the lowest order, a scum-sucking worm. If he died tomorrow this world would be a slightly better place by definition.
