How do you know, that he was going to continue killing? As far as I understood the genocide that Saddam committed always “served the purpose” to preserve his power. To me his was no serial killer who killed for personal satisfaction or for the sake of killing.
And if there is somebody who is killing a hundred thousand innocent people and there is somebody who kills tenthousand innocent people, to stop the other one- doesn’t the second person make himself also guilty for not finding a less harmful solution?
