I think I would be a bit worried about teaching these kids the basics. These scores are pitiful!

Out of 24 high schools, 10 scored at or above the state average…14 didn’t.

San Francisco hates the American military, but they love the freedoms that were only won thanks to the American military.

Hmmmmm San Fransisco hates the military, yet 99% of the boys in town are Rear Admirals. Go figure.

    1. Hey San Fran, next time your city has an earthquake don’t call the National Guard….they are not allowed. Just curios though. What is your plan?

Rocky is 100% right. The reason that San Francisco can exist, with their freedom of speech and lifestyle, is because of the service and sacrifices of the Military they so loathe.

Anti-military degenerates: we loathe you too.

    Down with Libbies?

Do you mean that in that same sense is all you boys have to do is pass gas good and loud by lifting a cheek in order to escape your earthquakes?

I prefer the flying method. It’s less offensive.

Yes, I thought that’s what you meant.

It is their city- if they want to be anti-military they have the right to be anti-military.

It’s the same as flag burning- if someone wants to burn a flag it is their right. I may not agree with it, but it IS their right.

    13. we aren’t homophobic

So, the “degenerate” (post 7) “rear admiral” (post 4) “Frisco boys” should “flutter their wings” (post 8) next time there’s an earthquake.

Peejz, honey, if you’re going to lie so blatantly, maybe you should doctor the posts before doing so.

Ted, this is not on par with flag burning. This is a public school receiving public funds.

  19. TedintheShed
    February 18, 2007 - 09:00 AM on February 18th, 2007

“Ted, this is not on par with flag burning. This is a public school receiving public funds.”.

I wasn’t referring to the school itself, but San Fransisco in general. So, should have quoted post 3 to which I was referring. So yes it it.

However if they want to limit funding to area tax payers and fore go federal funding for their schools, then it’s still fine by me. But that opens up a can of worms that I don’t think liberals would like to see- such as religion taught in public school and the Ten Commandments being posted at local court houses.

    #11?

    AKD, and the others?

All I can tell you fellas and gals is that stereotypes are not the sole jurisdiciton of people who call themselves “Conservatives”. Those posters I mentioned and referenced in my previous in these comments started with the negative “wings” and flying references so I just thought I’d give you back this homosexual’s equally able perspective on you guys.

Is it productive? Course not. But you have your take we have ours. See how it works? We can “cop a take” on how you appear visually and behaviorally on us.

Does it serve a purpose? I hope it’s (if nothing else) instructive that generalizations about entire groups of people only make the accusor look as limited in intellect and understanding as he is.

23- do you think that your homosexuality excludes you from being able to be bigoted? That is kinda like saying blacks can’t be racists.

  25. Eben
    February 18, 2007 - 09:41 AM on February 18th, 2007

    re #24

Now now. Don’t make absurd assumptions. But you don’t support your claim in post #13.

I’m a clever lad. Of course I don’t think that homosexuals are excluded from biases generally.

But I also don’t think that since I’m (as you’ve chosen to name me) ‘a homosexual’ I have any reason to be held to a higher standard than say our “Snowy Egret” here when it comes to bashing entire sectors of society, eh what?

Guess if he can spew (along we choice other posters ) .. well I can have my tongue-in-cheek generalizations.

You assume to much with your ‘like saying black can’t be racists’ statement. In my own experience with black people I find (personally) that the males among them tend to be more threatened by my homosexuality than their white counterparts – whatever that indicates.

You’ve been trying to “have at me” about this homosexuality topic for some time now. I’ll give it round or two if you want. But I’ll only be directing my commentary to you since goodness knows all the other “wing” commentary posters will be weighing in.

It’s up to you if you have the time. I have a free Sunday here.

25- your words support my claim. In the stats section, you can pull up your comments. Feel free to read through them. And you are the only one that wants to have at anyone about your homosexuality.

  28. Eben
    February 18, 2007 - 10:12 AM on February 18th, 2007

    27-

You ‘pull them up’. You’re the one name-calling.

    And your endless harping on homosexuality per se at this blog would indicate that this comment;

And you are the only one that wants to have at anyone about your homosexuality. is utter horseshit utterly reinforced by your blatant silence when your posters write things like what “Down with Libbies” said in post #8.

  29. Peejz
    February 18, 2007 - 11:00 AM on February 18th, 2007

endless harping on homosexuality That endless harping is talking about a relevant piece of today’s culture. We should talk about it, just as we talk about any other subject. Rulings in MI are important to the discussion, just as the hypocrisy of the the homosexuals that claim to be hurt by bigoted remarks.

As I told you before, I won’t edit Down With Libbies, any more than I would edit you. You seem to think you are the only one that is allowed to throw out the bigoted comments. DWL owns those words, just as you own yours.

  30. Eben
    February 18, 2007 - 12:24 PM on February 18th, 2007

    29-

Oh before it was just me.. now it’s ‘relevant piece of today’s culture’. Sheesh- keep me up to speed will ya?

I don’t exect you luv to ‘edit’ anyone. But your lack of commentary when those with obvious inherent biases versus your landing on those of us who are perceived as liberals is pretty obvious even from a detached standpoint.

And you’ve yet to show me where [I] seem to think [am] the only one that (sic) is allowed to throw out the bigoted comments. That’s your inference. Never has it been my implication.

Where once have a displayed a bigotry of any discription with perhaps the sole exception of a bigoty (to which I’ll readily admit) towards bigots themselves.

  31. Peejz
    February 18, 2007 - 01:41 PM on February 18th, 2007

30-Oh before it was just me.. now it’s ‘relevant piece of today’s culture’ It never was about you, it was about “homosexuals” and you made it about you.

Did DWL come here to discuss anything or did they come here to post an inflamatory comment? It is the latter of the 2 and I’m not getting involved with them.

I have told you to go read your comments, and you will find them. Are you afraid to go re-read what you wrote?

  32. Eben
    February 18, 2007 - 03:04 PM on February 18th, 2007

Of course I’m not ‘afraid to read my comments’ but you’re the first one to hold people accountable when they make an ascertion. I’m holding you to your own standard since you made the accusation.

You called me a bigot now prove it.

and as far as me ‘making it about me’ as far as the homosexuality comment is concern peejz I’ll refer you to post number 13 on this thread where )and I quote you wrote but Eben is a homosexual, and a bigot.

That ought to be clear enough for you to wrap your brain around.

    You made it about me.

Now prove it (the bigot part that is) or keep still.

Another Koolaid Drinker (AKD) jumps into the argument; no doubt feeling he owes it to Eben for the compliment paid in another topic. Or maybe it was because Eben was about the only one who weighed in on AKD’s side in the Global Warming argument.

Do you suppose AKD actually converted Eben to the Church of Global Warming? Or was AKD just preaching to choir member Eben?

It really does seem that once someone has crossed over to the Left and into the world of mental illness, almost anything is possible.
