HUME: That sound bite from John Murtha suggests that it’s time a few things be said about him. Even the “Washington Post” noted he didn’t seem particularly well informed about what’s going on over there, to say the least. Look, this man has tremendous cachet among House Democrats, but he is not ” this guy is long past the day when he had anything but the foggiest awareness of what the heck is going on in the world.
And that sound bite is naivete at large, and the man is an absolute fountain of such talk, and the fact that he has ascended to the position he has in the eyes of the Democrats in the House and perhaps Democrats around the country tells you a lot about how much they know or care about what’s really going on over there.
WILLIAMS: He’s chairman of the subcommittee, House Appropriations. He’ll have a lot to say about what Mara was just discussing
HUME: A lot of it will be :
“Think” Progress claims Hume smeared Murtha and pulled out quotes Republicans have used in the past to “smear” him too. In 2005, John McCain dared to say Murtha was “never been a big thinker.” Oh. My. God. He did not just say that awful, awful smear. Do I even need to repeat the words Democrats have used to smear President Bush?
Isn’t it the job of the press to have candid discussions like this one?Â

Remember as far vack as the 2006 election the Democrites “had a plan” to fix the Iraq situation? Kerry had his “plan”? But none of them would ever articulate their plan. There was speculation that they had no plan, that they’d get into office then figure out what to do.
It turns out now that they did indeed have a plan after all! And they have fully revealed it; It is CUT and RUN and FAILURE. They’ve already started with their stupid resolutions, which sends the message to our military that the Left is no openly, actively working to undermine them.
It also sends the message to our enemies Loud and Clear that their strategy is working, just keep it up, and they’ll win. Same crap they did in Vietnam, which ended up costing thousands more American lives and ended with the murder of more than a million people in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Treasonous, degenerate skum who do not deserve the freedom and protection paid for by the blood of real Americans.
