An Inconvenient Truth: Global Warming is All About The Money
If it weren’t about the money, why was it reported by Reuters : “The World Bank wants to breathe life back into a mooted $10 billion-plus fund to combat climate change which would need public and private sector backing, its Chief Scientist Robert Watson told Reuters on Tuesday.”
Tackling climate change is in many ways an energy problem — and there are big up-front costs to install the energy saving kit and other technologies that would curb emissions of greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels.
Developing countries especially need to clean up — or de-carbonise — their energy, given their emissions are seen overtaking rich nations soon after 2010, and because they are installing huge new capacity to power their breakneck growth.
Funding for poor countries now includes the Global Environment Facility (GEF), which has 30-plus donor countries, and carbon trading under the Kyoto Protocol, which expires in 2012, but these are not nearly enough, said Watson.
The World Bank’s idea is for a fund which will lend money on soft terms to poor nations to help them cut emissions, getting in return interest payments plus carbon credits equivalent to the amount of the emissions reductions, which the fund could then sell on.
 Noel Sheppard points out :
Getting the picture? Think our media will push for our tax dollars to fund this kind of a program, or any other that comes down the pike?
In the end, folks, global warming hysteria is all about taking money from wealthy countries and allowing international organizations to manage and redistribute them. Saving the planet is just the ruse necessary to convince the addle-minded that it makes sense.
Who is Robert Watson?
Prior to joining the World Bank, Dr. Watson was Associate Director for Environment in the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President in the White House. The Clinton White House.
Carbon credits won’t affect your credit rating!

It is what we have been saying all along here on RV. Funny how so many people screech “Follow the money!” but they can’t seem to take their own advice when their pet cause is involved.
Follow the moolah, follow the dinero, follow the argent, follow the ãŠé‡‘, follow the χÏήματα, follow the geld…
Whatever language works for you, follow the money, you Church of Global Warming idiots!

Two short phrases for the global warming nut jobs to look up. “Climatic Optimum” and “Little Climatic Optimum”. These are two KNOWN periods of elevated global temperatures in history (one only a 1000 years ago) wherein if current temperatures continue to rise at the rate of 1/20 of a degree every 5 years, it will take over 100 years to even come close to the average global temperatures during these two periods. I wonder what human actvity could’ve caused the temperatures to climb so high towards the end of the first millenium AD to allow the growing of crops in the Scottish Highlands? Was it the CO2 and ash from all of the villages the Huns and Vikings were burning in their paths? Or perhaps it was the flatulence from the oxen pulling trade carts across the Carolingian Empire? No! Wait! I know. It was the forges producing armor for all of those evil Christians preparing to go on Crusade to pry Jerusalem from the ever peaceful and loving Muslims. Sorry folks, I just got back from my annual vacation at a medieval recreation and bad historical puns and jokes may come out here for the next few days.
Global warming is a fact. Human causes of it are conjecture and hypothesis. When they can prove that human activity causes it, I’ll pay attention to them. Seeing as the Earth does go through cycles of heating and cooling related to SOLAR not human activity, they haven’t proven a damn thing other than that they want to drag down our economy with more idiotic government regulation.

“Global warming is a fact. Human causes of it are conjecture and hypothesis.â€
Come on now… Wouldn’t it have been easier to just say that Al Gore is an idiot? Let’s leave the facts out of it.

Al Gore has been tampering with climate data since before he invented the internet. Back when he was skinny; he was seen ON CAMERA chipping away at the Antarctic ice shelves so they would float away into the sea. He was even seen running from the Nicole Brown’s body shortly after she died. He is such a nut/loser that we must call his name any time global climate issues are addressed.

#6 sounds as though you object to Al Gore being brought up so often whenever the Global Warming question is addressed.
But that’s because Al Gore has made himself the face of the “humans cause GW” argument. He has used (manipulated) this whole thing into a vehicle to propel himself into the spotlight, with all of the economic and potentialy political consequences.
Can you believe that the Govt of Britain hired this con man to be their Global Warming consultant guru, expert? This snake oil salesman is already tapping into the money scheme generated by this massive boondoggle fraud! Yes, there’s far more money in this form of religion than anything traditional. Gore did make a smart move in dumping Divinity School.
So yes, he is quite a legitimate target.

I heard an interesting hypotheses from a professor of meteorology today. She said that the increase in atmospheric co2 could be a result of the Earth’s water bodies getting warmer from solar activity and thereby not being able to keep as much co2 in suspension. Sort of like a warm soda going flat. (Her analogy, not mine) Hence global warming could be the cause of increases in atmospheric co2, not the other way around.

Not believing in anthropogenic climate change is the same as holocaust denial.
You’re fighting a losing battle, people.

Not believing in anthropogenic climate change is the same as holocaust denial. Pick up a book on the holocaust, or better yet, talk to a survivor…that is such a ridiculous comparison:roll:

Peejz – I’ve actually been to Auschwitz and Berkenau in Poland…I know about the holocaust.
I’m saying the two kinds of deniers are equally as wacky and off base.
