Like Socrates, Helen Thomas has evolved into an annoying curmudgeon. Unlike Socrates, she has nothing of value to offer. And also, unfortunately, her drinking "the hemlock" is only metaphorical. They'll still have to deal with her barking out her blather at press conferences. I would have moved her seat out of the room entirely.
