Former ACLU Chapter President Arrested for Child Pornography
Charles Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators that he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites:
Federal agents arrested Charles Rust-Tierney, the former president of the Virginia chapter of the ACLU, Friday in Arlington for allegedly possessing child pornography.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by ABC News, Rust-Tierney allegedly used his e-mail address and credit card to subscribe to and access a child pornography website.
The complaint states that federal investigations into child pornography websites revealed that “Charles Rust-Tierney has subscribed to multiple child pornography website over a period of years.”
As recently as last October, the complaint alleges, “Rust-Tierney purchased access to a group of hardcore commercial child pornography websites.”
I guess that explains why he argued against restricting public internet access in public libraries in Virginia:
“Recognizing that individuals will continue to behave responsibly and appropriately while in the library, the default should be maximum, unrestricted access to the valuable resources of the Internet.”

I don’t care what party a person is affiliated with..these are children that are being raped and in many cases, kidnapped and/or sold into slavery. I don’t find the behavior to be responsible, nor is it appropriate. This person is supposed to be protecting these children.

had he been busted on a library computer, that would be totally different, but so far I haven’t heard that that is the case.

I just heard an ABC news radio broadcast that included the arrest of this ACLU degenerate. Even ABC mentioned he had led the charge a number of years ago to force libraries to provide unrestricted internet access to kids.

Acoording to the ACLU, this man would not be a pedophile. It should be perfectly within his Constitutional rights to have child pornography on his computer, just against the law to create it. In 1982, the ACLU took this position when oppposing New York v. Ferber.

Incorrect, as I’ve pointed out the ACLU’s position before. If they would have won the case in 1982, then this man would not have “gotten busted” to begin with.
Can’t you see how your position screams utter hypocrisy? This isn’t about political factions as you and many other folks on this BBS tend to slight things. This is about an organization that at one time was a noble institution, but now takes radical positions and routinely attempted to take rights away from America citizens.
