With all due respect Ryan, that isn’t the impression you’ve given. A simple example is your next sentence:

“I will leave you to tend to your minions.”

I am not sure if this is indeed the case here, but many athiests have an inate irreverence for others religious beliefs. It seems some are incapable of disagreeing with folks without said cockiness, such as metaphoring God as “The Tooth Fairy”.

What this triggers is an automatic antogonism. many times it is not intended, although sometimes it is. But I have to ask: If that is one’s intention, then how does one expect to not be marginalized from the beginning? How can one expect to be taken as a legitimate convesationalist on the topic instead of said antagonist?

I didn’t say that it did at all Ryan. I said that one can have a faithed based belief in something and do so logically even though one can not do so empirically, and thus it rules out scientific method.

Not at all. Once these examples you gave were discovered as where their nature, it was comprehsible. You are confusing “incomprehensible” with “unknown”.

I wonder how someones faith could rule out science?

Walking on the Moon use to be incomprehensible. Exploring deep space use to be incomprehensible. Thanks to science and mathematics, we can now accomplish these once incomprehensible tasks.

I guess we could’ve just waited around for God to send us a spaceship, and some satelites. Although, something tells me we’d still be waiting.

I refuse to frame my life around science though. There is much more to life, and since it is my viewpoint that there are concepts in the universe that to us as a race is incomprehensible I do not find that to be an unreasonable.
