I guess Ted is supposed to be ashamed, according to Matthias, because; ” you are proud to live in a country where you are “free” to carry the symbol under which 6 million jews”. Well I would rather show the symbol and teach the children the meaning of it under under the Nazis, than ban it due to fear of insulting Muslims and deniers!
Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Governmentbacked study has revealed.
It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.
There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques…
It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.
Will they start segregating the homosexuals so as not to insult the Muslims? How about Jews…will they be pulled from the classrooms?

Indeed.
Unlike Matthias however, I have the courtesy to directly answer his questions as fully as possible.
Unlike Matthias, I do not take an elitist Nazi-esque attitude that one’s freedom’s should be limited by the governemet and that because a person speaks a certain way or has a certain belief that they are a lesser person or in some way inferior. I do not jump to preposterous conclusions about a person’s intelligence based on their accent or sppech. If I were to base my conclusions on that like Matthias- Stephen Hawkings would be an idiot.
Fortunately, I am not so ignorant in the ways of the world.

And i,ll bet the england will now ban the movie 300 as not to offend islamic wussietards:razz:

1) Peejz, if you take a statement from me then please use the whole statement! It was:
“You are proud to live in a country where you are “free” to carry the symbol under which 6 million jews were executed and a two-digit number of people were slaughtered in a war”
That sounds a little bit different from only the first half of the sentence, that does not yet contain the genocide…
2) Ted, I’ve met a lot of Corporal of the German Army and they were all complete idiots. Your Cpl. Gumby simply asserted this view, but if it makes you happy: he was probably a good soldier. Every army in this world loves idiots- because you don’t get intelligent people to shoot at eachother without a real good reason!
And besides… Stephen Hawking may be a genius, but some of his theories have been proven wrong…
3) Other than UK, also the denial of the Holocaust would be a crime in my country and would be punished- and I am proud of that too. Fascists need to be wacked- wherever you find them! And they love it, because there is no other way for these mindvacuums to get attention…

Mattias, the misfit, conscripted private lashing out at his perceived indignity. I think Mattias need serious mental treatment. He really is a sick puppy in his delusional statements.

“2) Ted, I’ve met a lot of Corporal of the German Army and they were all complete idiots.”
And you were a private? What does that say about you, Matthias?
Your Cpl. Gumby simply asserted this view, but if it makes you happy: he was probably a good soldier. Every army in this world loves idiots- because you don’t get intelligent people to shoot at eachother without a real good reason!
Wow- such disrespect for men and women who assure your freedoms.
But I forgot Matthias- you don’t want your freedoms. You want your government to distate what you can and can not say.
“And besides… Stephen Hawking may be a genius, but some of his theories have been proven wrong…”
Which doesn’t disuade from the fact he he is a genious.
April 3, 2007 - 06:31 AM on April 3rd, 2007
5. “And you were a private? What does that say about you, Matthias?”
a) That I was not a volunteer, but other than most people here really what it means to serve your country!
b) That I know about the evil of warfare- it’s much dirtier than noble words about freedom and so on…
“Wow- such disrespect for men and women who assure your freedoms.”
Yes, guys like my company’s major who stand in front of 100 men and said:”The Ivan tricked us- the Russians have all their tank on trains and may all be here within a day again!”. And imbeciles like him are responsible for dozens of millions worth equipment funded by the taxpayers.
What a horrible idea?!
“Which doesn’t disuade from the fact he he is a genious.”
Yes, but what has he (Hawking) got to do with martyr corporals?!
April 3, 2007 - 06:42 AM on April 3rd, 2007
“a) That I was not a volunteer, but other than most people here really what it means to serve your country!”
I am assuming that neither were those corpoals in the German army that you refer to as idiot. Evidently, you weren’t as bright as even they were because you couldn’t make rank.
b) That I know about the evil of warfare- it’s much dirtier than noble words about freedom and so on…
Of course warfare is dirty. That is an undeniable fact- but what wars have you fought?
“Yes, guys like my company’s major who stand in front of 100 men and said:”The Ivan tricked us- the Russians have all their tank on trains and may all be here within a day again!”. And imbeciles like him are responsible for dozens of millions worth equipment funded by the taxpayers.
What a horrible idea?!”
This is gibberish. What are you trying to say? That becuase of one immoral that man makes the entire army immoral? That would make you immoral also.
God- you served as a soldier and have no idea what it means to be one.
“Yes, but what has he (Hawking) got to do with martyr corporals?!”
It has EVERYTHING to do with the good corporal and the judgement you made regarding him.
April 3, 2007 - 07:07 AM on April 3rd, 2007
7, Mattias has defective thinking. To rip Stephen Hawking like he did is the act of a clueless idiot trying to make themself important by pulling down accomplished people to their level of incompetance.
April 3, 2007 - 07:14 AM on April 3rd, 2007
8,
I don’t know PCD. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. It could be the language barrier and he hasn’t mastered the subtlties of the language. It could be pure ignorance. In any case, it is clear this person doesn’t undersdtand what the basic concepts of freedon truely are.
Matthias,
Perhaps I could recomend some reading for you- perhaps Thomas Paine or Ben Franklin or even Thomas Jefferson.
April 3, 2007 - 07:27 AM on April 3rd, 2007
Couple of things here:
Hawkings is a brilliant mind trapped in a diseased body, the fact that anyone would make fun of him speaks volumes for their lack of intelligence.
Matthias is calling those in his military idiots, consider the source!
That equipment that matthias loves to hate just may save his ass one day…
April 3, 2007 - 07:28 AM on April 3rd, 2007
Somehow my previous repsonse got lost… I hope this one works…
7- “I am assuming that neither were those corpoals in the German army that you refer to as idiot. Evidently, you weren’t as bright as even they were because you couldn’t make rank.”
I was doing my 12 months compulsory military service. It is normally not considered to have with such an assignment promotions into sergeant or officer ranks.
That becuase of one immoral that man makes the entire army immoral?
I have met enough of such idiots… already the ensigns showed this sick kind of motivation.
“It [Hawking] has EVERYTHING to do with the good corporal and the judgement you made regarding him. “
What??? Explain!
April 3, 2007 - 07:52 AM on April 3rd, 2007
10- Peejz,
I wasn’t making fun of Hawking (just review my posts), I was just saying that some of his theories have meanwhile been proven to be wrong.
“That equipment that matthias loves to hate just may save his ass one day…”
I definitely rely on the equipment (it was expensive enough)- I simply don’t trust some of the people that use it!

re 11:
“I was doing my 12 months compulsory military service. It is normally not considered to have with such an assignment promotions into sergeant or officer ranks.”
But we are talking corporal here, not seargent or officer.
I have met enough of such idiots… already the ensigns showed this sick kind of motivation.
Forgive me if I don’t believe your antedotal evidence to be legitimate.
“What??? Explain!”
Okay- I’ll connect the dots for you.
Judging any man simply on his speech, origin or profession is simpely shallow. This is what both you and Toasted Tofu did. kudo to AKD for at least not resorting to personal attacks against this man. It is those personal attacks that imply the disrespect you’ve shown for the dead. With that said…
Just becasue HawKings can not speak well, doen’t mean he is unintelligent or disuades from the fact his opinions are legitimate. In the same vein, just becasue this man is a soldier or speaks with a southern drawl doesn’t mean he is unintelligent or disuades from the fact that his opinions are legitimate.
You’ve made a judgement regarding this man based on nothing but a video clip. That is not only morally bankrupt behaviour, but disingenuous hypocritical behaviour as I doubt you’d want to be judged based on a 5 minute clip of your life.
April 3, 2007 - 08:22 AM on April 3rd, 2007
13- “But we are talking corporal here, not seargent or officer.”
That (German) rule also applies to corporals. Don’t ask me why but for that rank you also have to attend a certain training… bothering women, drinking… probably stuff like that…
“Forgive me if I don’t believe your antedotal evidence to be legitimate.”
Oh please.. You forgive me to make assertions based upon my experiences and not yours… The next time I will ask you for you approval!
“Judging any man simply on his speech, origin or profession is simpely shallow. …

So you claim, that I made my judgement based upon how Cpl. Gumby says something, but not based upon what he says. When I say that he behaves like an idiot, I refer to the content that makes him look like an idiot. When you compare his appearance to a physically handicapped person like Hawking, you suggest that his problems even went further!!!
What I wanted to point out was that Mason’s statements were equally silly (to me) like the ones of the Monty Python cartoon!
“or speaks with a southern drawl doesn’t mean he is unintelligent”
I’m German- I didn’t even notice that until now that you mention it!

13- “Judging any man simply on his speech, origin or profession is simpely shallow.”
But it is okay to judge based upon religion… for example: Those uncivilized violent subhuman terrorsupporting Muslims…
April 3, 2007 - 08:41 AM on April 3rd, 2007
15, only you have characterized Muslims as such to gain support for hour Islamofascist fogiving rhetoric.
April 3, 2007 - 08:41 AM on April 3rd, 2007
Unless the non-violent muslims start speaking up and putting a stop to the behavior of the radicals, they are all lumped together. They have no one to blame but themselves because they condone the violent acts.

re 14:
“That (German) rule also applies to corporals. Don’t ask me why but for that rank you also have to attend a certain training… bothering women, drinking… probably stuff like that… “
This only supports my asertion that you were judging the man based on his profession.
“But it is okay to judge based upon religion… for example: Those uncivilized violent subhuman terrorsupporting Muslims…”
“Oh please.. You forgive me to make assertions based upon my experiences and not yours… The next time I will ask you for you approval!”
Antecdotal evidence is just that- antecdotal. It has no basis in emperical evidence or facts. I know several men in the military, various ranks. For example, I know a coporal with an IQ of 152. He was once an employee of mine. He defered college to go into the military. I can cite several specific bits of said antecdotal evidence. However, I won’t present them as fact, as you have here.
“So you claim, that I made my judgement based upon how Cpl. Gumby says something, but not based upon what he says.
Yes, I did. this is what you said: “Whoa… does “Cpl” stand for Corporal? In that case America must really be the land of the free!! You wouldn’t allow a Corporal in any other country to speak in the public about political issues… especially not if they came from areas like Texas!”
At least one of the basis for your judgement is the man’s profession (coporal in the army) and where he is from (Texas). This is a direct quote from you.
“When I say that he behaves like an idiot, I refer to the content that makes him look like an idiot.”
Then you should refer to the specific content of the video, instead of where he is from or what he does for a living.
“When you compare his appearance to a physically handicapped person like Hawking, you suggest that his problems even went further!!!”
You are either an idiot or a liar. Point out where I made this suggestion.
Re 15:
“But it is okay to judge based upon religion… for example: Those uncivilized violent subhuman terrorsupporting Muslims…”
No, it isn’t alright to judge someone based simply on their religion. However, if a specific Muslim is supprting terrorism, then the justification for judgement is not based upon their religion but by actions of violence.
Take Muslim out of the quote and replace it with “Christian” and the same principal applies.

17- “Unless the non-violent muslims start speaking up and putting a stop to the behavior of the radicals, they are all lumped together.”
So Peejz says it, Ted, that is why I’ve made up my mind on corporals… There were no intelligent examples to prove that they are not idiots in general!
Thanks ,Peejz, that I could rely on your simple thinking..
April 3, 2007 - 09:15 AM on April 3rd, 2007
19, Mattias, You are lucky I don’t have your picture and address. I’d see to it your words were posted with your picture and address. I think a few corporals, along with Herr Roggenbuck, would have a few words with you. You are wrong, and pig headed.
April 3, 2007 - 09:15 AM on April 3rd, 2007
20- “At least one of the basis for your judgement is the man’s profession (coporal in the army) and where he is from (Texas). This is a direct quote from you.”
Of course it is…
do you know that quote from “Full Metal Jacket”: Only steers and queers come from Texas…
“You are either an idiot or a liar. Point out where I made this suggestion.”
And you have definitely too much time, to waste it by this nitpicking childish “I said- you said”-games…

“So Peejz says it, Ted, that is why I’ve made up my mind on corporals… There were no intelligent examples to prove that they are not idiots in general!”
We have an entire army of them as examples, and I gave one very specific example.
In either case, that proves nothing, as the examples are still anecdotal and not based upon facts.
Perhaps from you example, I should make up my mind that all Germans are subserviant Nazi-esque freedom elitist based upon the anecdotal evudence at hand…
but I wouldn’t be so foolish.
April 3, 2007 - 09:24 AM on April 3rd, 2007
19- Yes I said what i said, but i don’t speak for Ted. This is a conversation we have had many times, and you yourself admitted that your wife and her family CAN NOT speak out against the radicals..well they can, but they chose not to…big difference…that is unless they too will be killed for speaking out? Is that whay they won’t?

Stop slandering me, and I will stop making these challenges (of which you have yet to meet a single one, I might add).
I gave you a direct question, and you aren’t answering it. I thought you said you would, which not only make you a hypocrite but a liar. Let me rephrase so that you may have a chance to redeem yourself:
Where did I “… compare his appearance to a physically handicapped person like Hawking, you suggest that his problems even went further!!!” ?
April 3, 2007 - 09:27 AM on April 3rd, 2007
“Yes I said what i said, but i don’t speak for Ted.”
Indeed, you do not.
Evidently, from the abundence of misquotes that Matthias has accumulated from me, neither do I!

Evidently, from the abundence of misquotes that Matthias has accumulated from me, neither do I!
Ouch! That’ll leave a mark!
April 3, 2007 - 11:36 AM on April 3rd, 2007
23- “you yourself admitted that your wife and her family CAN NOT speak out against the radicals..”
Give me a link on where I said that..
What I may have said is, that I may not be able to speak as a kind of representative of a group of people (=radical muslims) that has as much to do with me and my family as the Bush administration has in common with the Dalai Lama!
Of course I spoke several times against violence in any form- as a human being who is proud to not regulate conflicts with such nice inventions like death row, “soft” torture or preventive military strikes!!!
24- Here’s another “misquote” for ya, Ted…
“And your elitist Nazi-esque attitude rears its ugly head once more.”
So, even if I had an Nazi-esque attitude- weren’t you the one who was appreciating that as being a “great achievement” to be able to live such an attitude in a “free” country?!

That’s not a misquote- I said that. You quoted me berbatim, for a change. you are catching on, it seems.

Yes I did. The difference is that I do not condone or display such behaviour nazsi-esque behaviour such as you display. What is important is the freedom of speech and expression that it entails, anmd that you have the right to do it.
As Voltaire said “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”

What really amazes me is that some British schools are dropping teaching about the Crusades because they think it’ll offend the Muslims. I would recommend that they use “Chronicles of the Crusades” for a text book. It tells the history of the crusades through first hand accounts from all sides. It includes all of the historical notes, photos and maps of the areas where the events described occurred. What a lot of people fail to realize is that overall the Crusades were a disaster for the Christians. They did manage to take and hold Jerusalem for 100 years, but many of the Crusades were blood baths and a number of them were actually against OTHER Christians not just Muslims. The Christians actualy did more damage to the Christian city of Constantinople than the Muslims did. Okay I admit I’m a history geek. Sue me. Those who do not learn from the past are destined to repeat it.
