Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), the most liberal of the Democratic presidential candidates in the primary field, declared in a letter sent to his Democratic House colleagues this morning that he plans to file articles of impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney.
Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution gives Congress the authority to impeach the president, vice president and “all civil Officers of the United States” for “treason, bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
Kucinich hasn’t given any insight as to what the focus of articles of impeachment against Dick Cheny would be, just that he intends to file them. Apparently, the murders at Virginia Tech this week caused him to delay its introduction into the House, but held off on filing them in light of the killings.
Here is a copy of his very brief letter:

Kucinich has also pointed his fingers directly at his Democrat colleagues for shared responsibility for wasting hundreds of billions of dollars in an unnecessary war. (Hillary Clinton and John Edwards voted to authorize the war. Clinton and Barack Obama continue to vote to fund it.)
Kucinich has analyzed the war:
“I didn’t just vote against the war, I shared an in depth analysis with Members of Congress that I wrote in October 2002, after reviewing intelligence reports,” Kucinich said.
Kucinich has also written legislation:
“So much for Democratic timelines,” Kucinich observed. “This war needs to end now and Democrats should stop funding it now. The money’s in the pipeline now to bring the troops home, and I’ve written legislation, HR 1234, to begin a process to stabilize Iraq as the U.S. troops leave.”
“We’ll see a Kucinich Administration before we’ll see a Cheney impeachment,” quipped one Democratic aide. Heh – I do believe the Democratic aide is correct.

Kucinich is a disgrace. Considering he was once the mayor of Cleveland, I just have to hope that he’s going to be joining the former mayor of Cincinnati, Jerry Springer, and go into freak television and get out of politics.
Having met Kuchinich during one of his Presidential runs, I can say the guy is nuts and is a poster boy for involuntary committment to a mental institution. The problem is the ACLU lawsuits. The ACLU ought to be locked up, too.

After watching this little video I come away with a few thoughts. I was actually waiting for him to start singing, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb the US. We’re so baaaaaaad. No Iran hasn’t directly threatened us, only Israel and Britain. Two of our allies. I noticed he didn’t mention that though. Nor did he mention the fact that the U.S. has certain responsibilities to live up to in the civilized world. Peace, yes peace will only come when we get rid of the Bush admin and we live down to the standard of cut and run by the democrats and we are all bowing down to allah and having our heads cut off.

According to the writings of Thomas Jefferson, and other historical data, we are past due. I doubt the 80 million gun owners in the US will line up to turn in their guns like they did in Australia and Britain. And with the porous nature of the Mexican Border, if they did, they’d replace them with ones that are far more dangerous… like fully automatic AK – 47s. With the corrupt government of Mexico, it wouldn’t take much to set up a weapons making plant in Mexico and not have any questions asked. Just look at the way the drug cartels are buying off the Mexican government and using it to pressure the US government to keep the borders wide open to smuggling.
