Rush actually had Paul Shanklin do a parody of the Bomb Iran song while impersonating John McCain. It's histerical. Too bad Rush can't put it on his wedsite due to copyright restrictions.

McCain would probably have a decent shot at the nomination this time were it not for his ridiculous stand on immigration reform and Campaign Finance reform. Arizona voters have been screaming at him to push to seal the border and THEN worry about normalizing the illegals who are already here, but it just went in one ear and out the other until he was beaten up repeatedly about his stance at a town hall meeting in either Idaho or Iowa. THAT really woke him up. Unfortunately, it was about 12 months too late. Had he and the other linguini spined Republicans in the Senate had gone along with the House immigration bill, the Republicans may have retained control of Congress. Despite what they may claim, the Dems didn't win in November by running on a liberal platform, but rather on a anything else platform. The didn't win because they attracted more voters, but because more Republicans and moderates simply didn't have a reason to vote. The Republicans were acting like Democrats anyway, so why bother?

Poor man is going senile in his old age. Kinda sad really.

Would have liked to have heared his serious answer though (did he give one??) and not just this shortened sound-bite.

Before Gulf War I, the Purple Kevins did a parody of Barbara Ann, Bomb Iraq. McCain is not being particularly witty.

His visit only brought out 300 here in Dubuque, and they were luke warm to him at best.
