Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: “the war in Iraq is lost militarily and “can only be won diplomatically, politically and economically” after more than four years of fighting.”
And his “conscience is great,”!Â
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Thursday said the war in Iraq is lost militarily and “can only be won diplomatically, politically and economically” after more than four years of fighting.
“Now I believe, myself, that the secretary of state, the secretary of defense and you have to make your own decision as to what the president knows: that this war is lost, that the surge is not accomplishing anything,” [What? " ed.] Reid, D-Nev., told reporters.
Repeating remarks he made to President Bush during a meeting of congressional leaders at the White House, Reid said the president is hearing only from people who are backing up his view of the war.
“I know I was the odd guy out yesterday at the White House, but I at least told him what he needs to hear. : I told George Bush what he needs to hear, not what he wants to hear, I did that and my conscience is great,” said Reid, who was one of several lawmakers who met with the president on Wednesday at the White House. Reid added that more people need to tell Bush the same.
Bear in mind, only 60% of the surging forces have even deployed yet.
Exit question: If the war is lost, why did Reid invite Petraeus to brief the Senate next Wednesday?
Â
My gut tells me Reid’s combat experience topped-out at fighting his way out of the clutches of some lobbyist-supplied Vegas hooker when he heard his wife was on her way into town.
Traitor … scumbag … loser … your choice, they all apply.

In a new video posted Thursday on the Internet, an al-Qaida militant who escaped from a U.S. prison in Afghanistan urged Sunni militants in Iraq to join the terror group and claimed the U.S. military’s security plan for Baghdad has failed.
But, again…
Please don’t question their patriotism.
It would take a fool or liar to claim that the surge isn’t accomplishing anything. Fortunately for the Democrats, they have both in surplus.
Active-duty military readers and military bloggers: If you’d like to send a message to the treacherous Harry Reid–who just declared the war in Iraq lost today–e-mail me or leave a trackback. I’ll reprint/link them here as they come in. Here is Reid’s contact form. He really needs to hear from you. (And perhaps Jon Voight could talk some sense into him.)
The Sandbox: Harry Reid: “This War is Lost”
So, we’re around halfway to the final number of the surge, violence is down (though it is still an extremely violent state), and it’s time to declare the new strategy a failure? I’m not ready to throw a ticker-tape parade and put Iraq in the “W” column because of the overall drop in violence since February, but I’m certainly not ready to throw in the towel.
Random (especially the suicide variety) violence can happen anywhere at anytime if the person is willing enough. We need look no further than the tragedy at Virginia Tech right here in the land of the free. The infant democracy in Iraq has a chance. Our resolve must endure.

I just cant imagine Dingy Reid giving up…shocked I am! What a bowel belching bag of steaming political dung. This old fart sack has put our own troops in danger and given the enemy comfort. I’m throwing up in my mouth just thinking how giddy this balless puke must feel now. Anything to hurt Bush, even to sacrafice a few GI’s is justified by this human turd. Words cannot express my disgust.

Harry Reid: “This War is Lost”
But don’t question their patriotism:The war in Iraq is lost and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country, the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, said Thursday. I believe …

I KNOW that Harry got some ringside boxing tickets from the NV boxing commission for his help on some legislation. Did he simply fail to watch the bouts? Do these morons think that after pounding someone mercilessly for 12 rounds of a 15 round bout that the winning boxer should just throw in the towel and have his manager try to negotiate with the other boxer? Or does the winning boxer simply keep pounding the losing one until the final bell? Seeing as the terrorists can not win the fight as long as we stay in the ring, how could we have lost the fight?

Reid is a unpatriotic Defeatocrat who put party politics ahead of the needs of the country. If anyone should be abandoned in Zimbabwe, it is Harry Reid.

Let’s just hope this idiot never runs for President. I will personally make sure this part of his past is dredged up and replayed over and over again so people can be reminded of just what a loser he really is.
