WASTE NOT! Dem Candidates Private Jet to Debate: ‘No one pooled, no one took commercial flights to save money, fuel or emissions’…

By: Pam On: Apr/26/07 - 33 Comments

Say what?  And so soon after Earth Day?

A flock of small jets took flight from Washington Thursday, each carrying a Democratic presidential candidate to South Carolina for the first debate of the political season.

For Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd and Joe Biden, it was wheels up shortly after they voted in favor of legislation requiring that U.S. troops begin returning home from Iraq in the fall.

No one jet pooled, no one took commercial flights to save money, fuel or emissions.

All but Biden, who flew on a private jet, chartered their flights — a campaign expense of between $7,500 and $9,000.

When you are done chewing on that, take a look at Industry caught in carbon ‘smokescreen’

Ted, carbon offsets are just planting a tree in a third world country. To hear them talk you would think it was some new high tech technology but nope, it’s just planting a tree. What a case of fraud. It’s business as usual with those dems, “do like I say, not as I do.”

All of those damned hypocrites. Wagging their fingers at the rest of us, lecturing us about how we are causing Global Warming, our lifestyles, our cars, our lawnmowers, our fireplaces, our barbecues. We are the ones driving those cars every day to go to work to keep the economy going, to pay the taxes that those leeches live off of.

To hell with every one of them…

I knew you’d like that one Robert  I guess I’m a bit of a rebel when it comes to hypocrits telling me how to live. I’m thinking of getting an SUV. Any suggestions?

Hi BonBon, I am glad you will be doing your part to increase your “Carbon footprint”!

Do you want a bigger one or a smaller one? We have two, a Ford Expedition (Bigger) and a Ford Escape (small). Uh, I mean, I don’t own them, the family does!!!

Seriously, the Ford Expedition is an excellent SUV and you can buy a good late model, low-mileage one for very little money since the gas prices have gone up so much. Don’t buy a new vehicle you don’t need to.

This is our second Expedition, we just bought a used 2003, Eddie Bauer edition, loaded with everything you can get, immaculate condition, 46,000 original miles, for $12,500. Don’t buy anything newer than 2003 because starting in 2004 they made changes to the engine and there have been problems with that one (my brother in law is a mechanic at a Ford dealer).

The Escape has been great. 2001, the first year, I now have 141k miles and almost no repairs. It has been super reliable and a surprisingly capable $WD off road veh. I have taken my son to explore more than 30 ghost towns over the last 5 years and it has gotten us into and out of some places that amazed us, even with normal street tires.

The wankers that make fun of SUV drivers seem to forget that the SUV is simply the station wagon of the 90s. If you have a family, you need one. Sure, you shouldn’t commute to work in one, that’s what the 50 MPG econoboxes are for.

Thanks Robert. I’ll heed your advice.

How I remember the old station wagon. I was one of 4 kids and we used to love to sit in the back, arms out the rear window and I loved the ‘extra’ hidden seat. But of course that was back in the days before seat belt laws.

The Depravity Of Jihadi Murderers Of Christians In Turkey

The sickness of these diabolically-inspired individuals knows no bounds.

Having arranged to meet these three Christians on Sunday morning for a Bible study, they brutally martyred Tilman Ekkehart Geske, Necati Aydin, Ugur Yuksel.

    Robert,

Can your Brother-in-law get discount parts? ;->. I’ve got a 97 Parts Bin Special (T-Bird) that could use some updated parts. Ford keeps obsoleting ones I’m looking for. Or won’t give out the information I’m looking for, like what’s the difference between their cars that can use E85 and their cars rated for E10 (Ethanol)?
