I guess I’d like to think that I could control my anger when my kid is acting up. I’m hoping that there’ll be ways to correct my kids behavior with non-aggressive means…but, hey, you never know.

Two years of time out/ go to your room/ sit in the corner achieved NOTHING. 4 trips across the knee in 3 days achieved results. It's called tough love, and it works. The problem is that people don't understand that if you nip the being a holy terror thing in the bud while they're young, you won't have a problem when they get older. That's why I favor lowering the drinking age to 2 years below the driving age. Let them get it out of their systems BEFORE they're old enough to go out driving drunk.
