The revival of “The Fairness Doctrine” is just silly.  Why? Well, Air America proved that even after all their shady financing and borrowing from a charity, they just couldn’t compete profitably, so let’s blame Rush and Hannity and all the other conservatives that make money for the stations carrying them…Now let’s get away from the radio and discuss, ABC, CBS, CNBC, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN……Are they ready to start giving equal time to the opposing view?  Michelle Malkin Has: Fairness Doctrine Watch: The Dem campaign continues Update: Rep. Pence leads challenge to beat back threat…bill added

      Greetings

“Bringing back the Fairness Doctrine would amount to government control over political views expressed on the public airwaves. It is a dangerous proposal to suggest the government should be in the business of rationing free speech.

If I remember my American History correctly The express purpose of the first amendment was to insure political speech was open to all and would not ever be censored. If anyone else remembers differently would you please correct me. I would hate to be in a heated debate with a leftist and be caught using wrong “facts.” That is assuming a leftist would know however.

The start of my comment above is a quote from the article. I did not make that very clear at all. I start with the “If I remember my American History” etc.
      Sorry

Any politicians expressing support for such an obvious assault on the Bill of Rights should be immediately removed from office for violating the Constitution they swore to defend.

I’d like to see criminal penalties attached to such acts.
