Al Gore’s son busted for drugs in hybrid car
Al Gore III — whose father is a leading advocate of policies to fight global warming — was driving his environmentally friendly car at about 100 miles per hour on a freeway south of Los Angeles when he was pulled over by an Orange County sheriff’s deputy at about 2:15 a.m.
The deputy smelled marijuana and searched the car, said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino. The search turned up a small amount of marijuana, along with prescription drugs including Valium, Xanax, Vicodin, Adderall and Soma. There were no prescriptions found, he said.
I’m not quite sure why Rueters found it necessary to stress that he was driving an environmentally friendly car. Did that lessen the chance of him killing someone at that high rate of speed? Does driving a Prius give him a pass on the drugs?

This is just another case of how the rules don’t apply to the priveliged limousine liberal set. They’ll bitch at us about energy consumption, and live in 75,000 square foot castles and fly in private jets.

They say Gore’s Prius was travelling at speeds of 90 MPH before he was pulled over. Since the wind resistance increases greatly with speed, even the Prius must have been using excessive fuel and therefore the Carbon footprint was huge!!!

If a Democrite does something illegal, well you know, it’s just the way things are, they’re human, nobody’s perfect just move on.

I find it funny that while the left crucified Rush for becoming addicted to prescription pain killers, Rush actually was VERY compassionate towards Gore’s son. He even expressed sympathy for ALgore at having to have to try and help his son overcome his drug problem. Isn’t it funny how the “oh so compassionate” left relish in someone’s misfortune, while the supposedly vicious conservatives actually are compassionate and wish them the best?

In a way I almost feel sorry for the kid. Imagine having a notorious conartist and ecofraud for a dad. Al Gore is one of the reasons why we are emitting so much “Greenhouse gas” in the U.S. (he prevented any use of Nuclear power for electric generation while he ran Klinton Admin environmental policy). And now he is out there wagging his finger and scolding the rest of us while he has a supersized”Carbon footprint” and stuffs money in his pocket from phony “carbon offsets” trading.
