Hmmm… Didn’t I make the comment a few weeks ago that Osama Bin Laden is hiding in the Waziristan region of Pakistan and to go after him with an adequate level of force would amount to invading a sovereign country which happens to not only:
A. Be an ally
B. Be only arguably stable politically because of that allegiance
C. Be having problems with militant Islamists already
D. Be on the brink of a Radical Islamist revolution like Iran in the late 70s
But also has nuclear weapons?
Wouldn’t it be logical to conclude that to do so would amount to either Islamabad (note the first 5 letters of the name of the capital) declaring war on us, the radical Islamists taking control of the Pakistani government, or both? With our political ties to India, such an action could very easily devolve into a nuclear war, a nuclear armed state sponsor of terrorism, a nuclear terror attack on the US, or all of the above? Keep in mind that Pakistan has an air force and it would be VERY hard to track a low flying fighter jet carrying a nuclear weapon to any of the neighboring countries.

BonBon, taking that statement one step further, anti-war, peaceniks, and pacifists are among the worst kinds of parasites on a national level.
That may sound harsh; why is that? Because the only reason they have the ability, the freedom to indulge their philosophy is due to the sacrifices of others who have paid with blood for the right and ability of Americans to have such choices. Yet the Pacifist himself contributes nothing to the equation.
If on an individual level a Pacifist feels so strongly that he would stand there and let a robber murder his whole family and himself rather than resort to violence for self defense, have at it. At a national level, that is not acceptable.
The so-called anti-war types are frauds. Very few people are pro-war, and nobody should be pro-war. But the anti-war types (So-called) are imo mostly leftists seeking to undermine America.

You know what’s even worse is that the same lib twits who don’t want us fighting terrorists in the streets of Iraq are the same lib twits who are actively trying to take away our constitutionally guaranteed rights to own the means to fight them here. Check out H.R. 1022. If a Dem wins the White House and H.R. 1022 goes through, it will ban virtually every firearm that is capable of holding a magazine of more than 10 rounds. That means more or less EVERY detachable magazine firearm in the country.
Perhaps we should start a huge donation drive to buy airline tickets to Baghdad and Tehran for all of the liberal pacifists. That way they could go and talk with the terrorists. At least until the Islamofascists behead them.
Deadly force is seldom the only option, but there are times when it is the best option. I saw a gun control bumper sticker the other day that shows the naivete of the gun control crowd. It said “I support gun control, I can’t hurt you, please don’t hurt me.” I’ve never seen that argument work with a bully. I’ve used the “stop or I’m going to hurt you.. BADLY” argument to great effect, but never had the “please don’t hurt me” argument work.
Doesn’t that “I can’t hurt you, please don’t hurt me” sound like the Clinton plan for fighting international terrorism?

Someone should require that all political candidates take some serious objective history courses. Courses that cover the actual death tolls from other wars, like the fact that we lost as many people in 5 weeks on Iwo Jima as we lost in 4 years in Iraq. Like the fact that enemy fighters have used captured weapons against their manufacturers in virtually every war in history. The Colonists had captured British cannon, the Confederates had captured Henry and Spencer rifles and carbines, the Germans used English speaking soldiers dressed as MPs and carrying American weapons to disrupt allied resupply during the Battle of the Bulge, and the VC routinely carried captured American and French weapons.
They also need to learn the application of the Teddy Roosevelt “Walk softly and carry a big stick” method of diplomacy. The whole theory is still as sound now as it was then. You encourage people to be your friends while making it very unattractive to be your enemy.For those from south of the border an apt way to describe it would be for them to either hit the pinata or BECOME the pinata.

Obama isn’t experienced enough on the international level to be president. Neither is Hillary. FOR that matter, both are ideologues who refuse to accept historical fact if it contradicts their ideology. I will say that I think Obama may have his heart in the right place, but like Jimmy Carter, he’s just not up to the task. Hillary is just another crooked attorney. She’ll stop at nothing to get her way and doesn’t care who or what she destroys in the process. It’s a shame that there really aren’t any Democrats in the vein of JFK anymore. Obama may be a good man. I won’t even give Edwards or Hillary that much. Their actions lead me to believe that they are corrupt, self serving and narcissistic. If I had to vote Democratic, I’d have to vote for Lieberman even if he is now an independent. It’s a damn shame that the Democratic party has gone so far off the deep end as to force good men like Lieberman or Zell Miller out of the party.

The SF County DA’s office is a pathetic mess, has been for years. They seem more concerned about going after landlords for code violations than real criminals.
SFPD? A regional joke. If an officer, even at supervisory level decides he wants to become a she, it is not only allowed, but encouraged. The city will pay for the operation. Meanwhile, street crime is almost out of control. There are nearly as many shootings as in Oakland, and Oakland has been a war zone for years.
So I’m not sure what kind of problems you think Liberals are capable of solving, unless they are “hate crimes” and other politically-incorrect behavior.

Robert let us not forget the referendum to repeal the 2nd amendment by effectively banning firearms inside the city limits. An ordinance that the city attorney freely admitted was unconstitutional and therefore a waste of taxpayer money, but permitted it to go ahead anyway. An ordinance so unconstitutional that even the 9th Circus Court of Appeals located in San Francisco threw it out.
