Yes, The left is rejoicing in the fact that Rove will resign effective August 31, 2007. Allahpundidit says “The timing does seem awfully coincidental, though.” Michelle has much more.

Watch the Kos Clowns be all pissed that Rove isn’t doing the perp walk in handcuffs and shakles.
The last 2 years of a term limited President always sees advisors and appointees bail for new work or retire from burnout. Anyone remember that was how Rumsfeld got his experience at DOD?
August 13, 2007 - 07:34 AM on August 13th, 2007
This makes sense.
Bush is down to his last year. I see Rove getting in a behind the scenes position for one of the Republican candidates.
At every turn Rove has outsmarted the Dems, leaving them helpless to do anything but shake their fists at them in impotent frustration.

Goodbye Karl Rove
The Presiden’t chief political adviser is resigning. Will AP now give us an update on the contents of Rove’s garage? Inquiring minds want to know. Jason Leopold will now have to find honest work, that’s for sure.

I don’t see Rove as a genius. Sure he direted winning campaigns but the Democrites helped out a lot with the lineup of losers they put forward. And the White House has been utterly inept on so many occasions.

6.
When it comes to being an in house political advisor, he isn’t. But if you are campaigning to run for office, he sure is.

If Rove came up with the Swift Boat idea, then I’d concede Rove is a campaigning genius. The Swift Boaters did more for Bush’s 2004 campaign than Bush did.

Getting tired of being beat up by him, huh?
August 13, 2007 - 01:19 PM on August 13th, 2007
Man, the past 7 years the Left has been getting “beaten up” by Rove and the Bush Team.
I seriously can not wait for this long, national nightmare to be over come January 20th in 2009.
August 13, 2007 - 01:38 PM on August 13th, 2007
11, SFL, you libs did not get 10% of the beatings you’ve earned since the 60’s. If you were honest, you’d admit you barely got a minimum of your just desserts.

It wasn’t very hard for Rove to outsmart the Dems, their positions and condescending attitudes towards the citizenry of this country should be enough.
I want the liberal Dems to take a stand and state their platform and see just how out of touch they are with the mainstream of America.
I want them to explain why we have to pay more for power and gasoline when we have some of the largest reserves of BOTH COAL AND OIL in the US that they won’t allow us to use because of some mythical manmade global warming, while they tacitely support China’s drilling in the gulf of Mexico and burning coal sans any filtration systems.
I want them to explain why they complain about gas prices, while preventing the construction of new refineries which would cause the prices to drop dramatically.
I want them to explain why a 12 yr old isn’t mature enough to be able to take aspirin without an adult there to hand it to her, but she’s mature enough to decide to have an abortion.
I want them to explain why criminals who use guns to violently assault and murder law abiding citizens should be given a slap on the wrist while law abiding citizens should be denied the means to protect themselves against human predators or locked away for years should they do so.
I want them to explain why Big OIL that makes 8-9 cents per gallon of gas sold has too much return on investment while Big government makes an average of over 50 cents per gallon while making no investment.
I want them to explain why tax cuts for investors that are used to create jobs, produce wealth, and increase tax revenues are inferior to tax rate increases that destroy jobs, produce poverty and decrease tax revenues.
I want them to explain why allowing millions of uneducated, third world criminals to bring their criminal culture to this country and sponge off of the US taxpayers is a good thing.
I want them to explain why forcing employers to pay employees more than they can produce is better than allowing the market to decide what an employee should earn. I saw a Long John Silver’s with a help wanted sign offering up to $10/hr and In and Out Burger starts people at over $9. When you walk in there the service is excellent and everyone speaks English. I can’t say the same for places paying minimum wage for minimum work.
I want them to explain to the lower income employee why losing your $6.50/hr job because the employer can only afford to pay $26/hr in wages and with minimum wage at $7.65 that means he has to make do with 3 employees instead of 4 is better than making $6.50/hr. This happens in the sales and service sectors everytime there’s a minimum wage increase.
I want them to explain how cutting military bonuses, freezing pay, and refusing to fund new weapons helps to insure that we have the strongest military in the world.
I want them to explain how insulting the intelligence of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines encourages the best and the brightest to join.
I want them to explain why we have troops in the Balkans for over 10 years in a war with no significance to the US, while they are undermining the troops that are fighting a war significant to the US.
I want them to explain why people who work for a living should provide multi generational financial support for those who won’t.
I want them to explain why every congressman, senator and their respective staffs are enrolled in a privatized retirement plan identical to the one that they fought to prevent becoming available to the general public. A plan that returns over 3 times the amount of the current Social Security debacle.
I want them to explain how the federal government is going to provide nationalized healthcare for 300,000,000 residents but can’t provide healthcare to 5,000,000 veterans efficiently?
I want them to explain what part of “In case of an emergency, you may need to provide your own food, water, and shelter for 3 to 4 days before help can reach you” is so damn hard to understand.
These are ALL positions that the Democratic party has taken over the past 15 years and still hold to. I want them to get up there and explain themselves without the shuck and jive. The word “is” only has one meaning. If they ever do, the sheer stupidity of their positions will cause people to abandon the party in droves.

FAO,
Too bad some moderator at a Presidential debate won’t read your post to each and every one of the candidates present.
For once, I hope that moderator would be Bill O’Reilly because he’d want straight answers, not the shuck and jive Spendocrats, Defeatocrats, and power hungry megalomeniacs would stall with.
August 16, 2007 - 12:39 AM on August 16th, 2007
There is a reason why they Dems won’t go on Fox. They might actually have to give a straight answer.
I also notice that none of the liberal posters have chosen to respond to it either.
