Gonzales gave his resignation on Friday and today, the rumors are swirling. President Bush will likely nominate Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff because of his judicial background.
I agree with Captain Ed, Gonzales and his employees did nothing wrong when they fired the federal prosecutors, but the way his department handled the questioning was nothing but a major catastrophe.
MM is happy to see him go and has some suggestions other than Chertoff as the replacement.
