Bush Moves to Aid Homeowners, is featured at WSJ, while MM has Bush pulls a Hillary on housing??? Read both and you decide. I am not seeing this as anything but a smart move.
We either take care of the problem now, or we pay dearly later. How many of you pay attention to foreclosures and sale prices within your neighborhood? Every foreclosure brings the value of your home down. Everytime someone sells below the neighborhood average? Your profit just went down. These people are not getting their loans forgiven, they are being givena stay of eviction.
I’d like to hear your thoughts.

What happened to the “ownership society” touted by Bush and the Republicans?!?
That idea went up in smoke…
Another Bush FAILURE.
Who voted for this moron?
Oh, thats right…you guys did.
SFL, you are welcome to leave the country permanently any time now.
No thanks, we’ll be too busy taking everything over from you republican schmucks.
Looks like the pro-war blockheads like yourself are the ones that should get the hell out.
Maybe move to Russia, where your ignorant-aggression can be better served.
3, If I were as aggressive as you suggest, you’d be sucking one the barrel of a coach gun looking forward to meeting all your gay friends in Hell.
This isn’t taking care of the problem. This is pushing the problem onto another entity, in this case FHA.
Look, it may not be p.c. but the problem is that these homeowners are deadbeats. Banks loosened their restrictions so much that deadbeats qualified for homes. There is no fixing that problem. The only answer is for the free market to work itself out.
lame.
As I recall, during the Bush Admin. home ownership reached its highest level in US history.
That’s not a Bush failure.
And Jimmy “Peanut Brain” Carter was without doubt the worst President of the 20th Century.
Exactly how is keeping possibly millions of people from losing their homes and millions more from losing their jobs a failure?
An ownership society seems to have worked pretty damn well for George Soros, Hillary and Bill Clinton, etc, etc, etc. DO I really need to mention Al Gore’s multiple mansions (paid for with money from mining operations that are major polluters) or John Edwards’ 28,000 sq ft home that he clear cut the top of a mountain to build? Do I need to add the multiple estates owned by the Kennedies (paid for with money earned bootlegging during Prohibition)or the Rockefellers (money earned by John D. Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil, the original big oil monopoly) that they NEVER pay any inheritance tax on because they put them all into living trusts and then wrote the tax code to exempt living trusts? And you want to talk about hippocracy! The biggest proponent of estate taxes lives for free in a number of multimillion dollar estates, flies in trust owned private jets, and sails in trust owned private yachts all without paying a cent in estate taxes.
Double standards, hypocrisy, lying, misrepresentation are fundamental building blocks of the Leftist leadership.
Yet some still mistakenly believe that they care, they’re for the common man, the disenfranchised, etc.
Childish and foolish. Wake up and smell the sewage!
One word “YES” And I like Bush for doing that, thank you Bush. by the way I own my Home do you?

How exactly did Bush createthis problem? He didn’t…But people like Edwards did…
I am so ashamed that I wasted my vote on George Warmonger Bush. Bush is the worst President in US history and that is exactly how both short term and long term history will remember him. He is nothing more then a rich coward who exists for no reason other then to do the bidding of his rich wealthy handlers and keepers. He is living proof that the Republican Party of the USA never was a political that is of, for or by the people. The real track record of the Republican Party of the USA is one of plutocracy and kleptocracy as opposed to democracy as they are only good at producing Presidents who are nothing more then the rich man’s rich man. Bush fleeced a prosperous nation to benefit the top 2 % of the richest wealthiest citizens on the backs of the middle and lower classes of the USA. The only real beneficiaries of his so called tax cuts were the rich and wealthy minority of the USA who do not need it. In the case of the current President, he and his rich corporate America daddy Cheney both have a lot of U.S. & foreign blood on their hands. The deaths of all U.S. soldiers in Iraq have been totally in vain as their purpose there was only so that Republicans could seize power in the U.S. senate as opposed to protecting the USA. Bush never intended on winning a war in Iraq as it was always his intention to occupy Iraq from now to eternity as opposed to any of the lies he gave to the people of the USA. Bush & Cheney’s favorite part of it all is the fact that they and their Republican Party did all this all this while removing the divide between church & state, using Christianity as a shield to ward off criticism and hiding behind the lie of conservative values as well as jingoistic patriotism. They are also the best friend an illegal alien from Mexico could ever have. Farewell and thanks for all the corrupt GOP memories. I’ll never make the mistake of voting Republican ever again.
