The general, in the topic above, hinted that one of the reasons in favor of troop reduction was, quote, "to avoid a strain on the Army”.

Yes, but there are tqo ways you can do that. You can give up, which the democrites want to do, or you can make progress to the point where you can start reducing forces because you are able to.

BIG difference.

Gen. Petraeus was Commander of the 101st Airborne during the invasion. He learned from experience. He then wrote the current book on counterinsurgencies (against roaches). Now that he is in charge, he is putting his experience to work. Finally we have somebody in charge who knows what to do.

Now if we just stopped all political correctness, the job would be finished in 6 months.

It brings troops out of Iraq, back to their families and lives.

This is the begining of the end...

Begining with the oppostion of the War in general, the Liberals have since held the opinion that the American military is being pushed too far and stretched too thin.

The general, in the topic above, hinted that one of the reasons in favor of troop reduction was, quote, "to avoid a strain on the Army".

I'm saying that the long-held liberal position of the Bush Admin pushing the troops too hard (extended tours, stop-loss, etc) is supported by this comment from the general.

Agree or disagree, how does that not make sense, or at least, how is that not coherent to you?

San Fran, go back on your meds, you're making no damn sense again. Either that or put down the koolaid for a few days and come out of that Bush derangement syndrome haze you're in.

You're smarter than the drivel you've been posting for the last week.

Once again, the Liberal position is the correct position.

Less troops in Iraq = better chance of Iraqi over-all success.

That's good news...becoming from Gen. Petraeus, it means we are kicking asses, and the Iraqis are stepping up to the plate, NOT the cut-and-run Democrap strategy.
