One of the best miniseries shown and the Clinton’s don’t want it to get in the way of Hillary’s campaign. I’ll refresh your memory by pointing out the just released, scathing report, showing that Clinton had no plans in place to fight Osama bin Laden prior to 9/11.
With no date for the release, questions are being raised about whether political pressure is behind its current status as a stalled or discarded DVD project. The reasons are murky, but the miniseries’ writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, believes it’s crystal clear: Powerful forces are out to protect Bill Clinton’s presidential legacy and shield Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) from any potential collateral damage in her bid for the White House.
Nowrasteh, also one of the miniseries’ many producers, said he was told by a top executive at ABC Studios that “if Hillary weren’t running for president, this wouldn’t be a problem.”
“Whatever anyone may think about me or this movie, this is a bad precedent, a dangerous precedent, to allow a movie to be buried,” added Nowrasteh, who received death threats even before the miniseries was broadcast last September. “Because the next time they’ll go after another movie. The Bush administration may go after a movie. The next administration may go after a movie. No matter who it is, they may go after a movie. I think this town needs to stand up.”
Even before “The Path to 9/11″ aired on ABC late last summer, the docudrama ignited a political firestorm, almost entirely from high-profile Democratic leaders who viewed its account of events leading up to the terrorist attacks as a right-wing hatchet job on the Clinton administration and its efforts to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. Attempts to pressure ABC to cancel the miniseries at the time were unsuccessful, but last-minute network edits were imposed to quell the critical outcry.
An ABC spokeswoman reached Tuesday would say only that the company “has no release date at this time,” and she declined to comment further.
Meanwhile, Sen. Clinton’s campaign staff did not return an e-mail or a phone call seeking comment.

Just do a simple google search to find the inaccuracies, falsifications, and artixstic liberties taken by the conservative writer/producer.
Political conservatives just are not popular anymore, and don’t have the political clout anymore needed to push propaganda pet-projects like this onto the people.

Slander against who? It has been shown that Albright didn’t tell the truth, according to the CIA, when she testified before the 9/11 commission…Sandy stealing papers seems to be getting a bit clearer as to what the motivation was. They didn’t have a plan in place and blew their chance to get OBL.

Admit it: the very premise of the movie is that the Clinton Admin didn’t do enough to prevent 9/11 – and essentially “let it happen”.
Clinton said it best himself: he tried, but failed to get Bin Laden.
Now, here we are 6+ years after 9/11…and has Bush also failed to “get” Bin Laden? Yes he has.

# U.S. spy agencies, which were overseen by Tenet, lacked a comprehensive strategic plan to counter Osama bin Laden prior to 9/11. The inspector general concluded that Tenet “by virtue of his position, bears ultimate responsibility for the fact that no such strategic plan was ever created.â€
# The CIA’s analysis of al-Qaida before Sept. 2001 was lacking. No comprehensive report focusing on bin Laden was written after 1993, and no comprehensive report laying out the threats of 2001 was assembled. “A number of important issues were covered insufficiently or not at all,”the report found.
Tenet was a part of that team; he was appointed DCI by Clinton himself. But Tenet’s CIA didn’t write up a comprehensive plan to get bin Laden and drafted no comprehensive report on bin Laden. Evidently even such bureaucratic paperpushing wasn’t among the things that Albright et al thought of.
If they didn’t even think to come up with a report on bin Laden, if only to cover themselves later by being able to brandish such a report and say “See, I told you so,”what were they doing?
They didn’t have Central Intelligence analyze the threat. And they didn’t draft a plan for dealing with the threat.
They did, however, build a wall between law enforcement and intelligence-gathering. So there’s that. And according to the CIA report, that wall didn’t really contribute much to 9-11 at all.
The summary concludes: “Informing the FBI and good operational followthrough by CIA and FBI might have resulted in surveillance of [the "UBL associatesâ€]. Surveillance, in turn, would have had the potential to yield information on flight training, financing, and links to others who were complicit in the 9/11 attacks.â€
