You can be anti-war but pro-troops. The two are not mutually exclusive

Unless of course you are the elected officials of the Democratic Party.

How do you know that “this is the work of one anti-war group or another”? Or do you just want to assume that it is to fill some need? It may have been some stupid kids or maybe even some “war-supporters” trying to drum up some controversy. You say “anti-war” like it’s a bad thing. Every sane human being should be against armed conflict, especially an unnecessary one. I’ve been in a war before, I’m a FrmrInfOffcr. Is war necessary sometimes? Sure, but that doesn’t mean that we should revel in it. You can be anti-war but pro-troops. The two are not mutually exclusive.

This article simply mentions the vandalism, then mentions the anti-war protest as a total non-sequitor. It does nothing to prove that the two are connected. It’s a lazy and facile way to write a slanted article.

as a viet nam vet,this is not a slap in the face but a kick in the teeth to all who returned, to all of our brothers and sisters who died and to all who are still suffering.I just hope the scum who did this are found by the law first and not a VIET NAM VET.

This is the work of one antiwar group or another. They remind me of the antiwar protestors on campus while I was in ROTC. They were pretty vocal until I actually got within 30 ft. We were surveyed about our reaction to them. My response was why would I give any credibility to anyone so cowardly as to not say anything to my face unless they outnumbered me 15 to 1? These cowards need to be caught and treated to a unique experience. A summer boot camp at Parris Island. Give them the choice one of my NCOs received before enlisting. Three years in the military or three years in prison. Give them a little appreciation for our service members.

Hey there, ‘Right’ Voices, your headline for this post is “Vietnam Memorial Defaced By Anti War Protesters.” Just out of curiosity, how do YOU know that the vandalism was by anti war protesters when no one knows who did it? Nice try with the misdirection…
