All They Are Saying, Is Give Defeat A Chance

You tell me:

Democrats are not expected to take up President Bush’s war spending request until November, giving them time to calculate their next move and see if Republican support for his policies deteriorates.

The delay in passing the bill, which Bush says is needed by Oct. 1, is likely to intensify the standoff between the Democratic-controlled Congress and Bush, who says at least 130,000 troops are needed in Iraq through next summer.

Michelle has much more:

The Democrat White Flag strategy is to punish the troops just when the counterinsurgency/surge measures are showing signs of success:

  • At the Pentagon on Monday, officials released a quarterly report on the war that echoed last week’s testimony of Gen. David Petraeus, the top military commander in Iraq. The report cited recent gains in security, including a decrease in sectarian killings, but little political progress in Baghdad.

Recent operations “have started to create the security conditions that will allow the government of Iraq to implement reforms and pursue reconciliation initiatives,” the report states.

  • No matter:

  • In February, Bush requested $147 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in budget year 2008, which begins Oct. 1. As early as this week, Bush is expected to ask for another $40 billion to $50 billion.

[John] Murtha, who chairs the House committee that oversees military spending, estimated Congress is likely to ignore the request until November

The Soros-funded Democrite party of today is openly working against America, openly allied with our enemies. They are willing to do whatever damage to America that occurs on their way to political power and self-interest. I guess they consider that damage “collateral”.

That is the message that ought to get put to the American sheeple: A vote for a Democrite is a vote for the enemies of America.

A majority of Americans now think it was a mistake to go to Iraq.

Souds like the “defeat” was written on the wall years ago, but only some of us were smart enough to see it coming (from, like, a mile away).

Bush punched his fist into the hornets nest of the middle-east, and it only stands to reason that we’d all get stung.

Actualy, the American public has been consistently growing more and more anti-Iraq war as the years have passed.

Look at the downward curve of public opinion.

So sit down, read a fucking book, and watch as the Democrats take control of your government from you…starting with congress, then with more seats in congress and then presidency.

      It is inevitable.

First of all, the results to polls are very unscientific. We have demonstrated before on this site how polls are designed to reach the preconceived results. we hear the MSM propagandists babbling constantly about this poll or that poll with no way to analyze their integrity.

Second, much of the American public is ignorant and easily swayed by MSM and popular propaganda. watch how quickly they swing to the support side if the recent progress continues and is reported such that it trickles down to their level of awareness.

But the Libs in the MSM and the Democrite party won’t allow that if they can help it. Deliberately warping news and information for their selfish political agenda. That’s why the Demotrash party is now the enemy of real Americans, and why I utterly despise it so thoroughly.

Actually, when done properly, it’s quite the opposite.

Things like “Statistics” and “Math” are difficult concepts for many people to understand.

But, yes…it’s important to look at the question, the context, etc. Wording matters.

It has always puzzled me why people seem to need to quote polls in an attempt justify their opinions. I am confident enough in my beliefs and opinions that I realize that just because I am in in the minority of opinion doesn’t make my stance on any given issue in the wrong.

After all we could quote opinion polls on gay marriage, I guess.

20- Did you read the results? I am thinking not. More repondants saw improvement than not and what is up with this question?:

“When it comes to the situation in Iraq, do you approve or disapprove or have mixed feelings about the way George W. Bush is handling that issue?” If “mixed feelings” or not sure: “If you had to choose, do you lean more toward approve or disapprove?”

      28.

There is no doubt in my mind that many of these polls are done scientifically. Nonetheless, they aren’t relevant.

We can take an opinion poll that scientifically inquires:

      What is your favorite color?
      Black
      Green
      Red
      Blue

If 60% picks black then that does not mean black is the best color. It also does not mean that of those polled, some people’s favorite color isn’t periwinkle (so they pick blue) or that it is orange (something entirely different, but not ogffered).

Polls are irrelevant, and seldom reflect reality.

I once was called by a pollster. Here’s one of the questions and a sequence:

Pollster(p): Do you think the Lewinsky scandal has diminished your confidence in the ability of the President (Clinton) to lead the country?
Me: I had no confidence in him anyway.
p: So is that a no?
Me: I told you I had no confidence in him anyway.
p: Yes, and that’s a No to the question.

So they glibly report the results of this poll something like “70% report the scandal does NOT diminish their confidence in the President” Woo hoo!!! Which likely does NOT tell the real story at all.

Yet this is the kind of crap that is being used and reported on, and shapes the opinion of the ignorant, all the time. I urinate on the polls…
