Barry Manilow Boycotts The View Because Of Rosie
How else can you explain the fact that he was on the show during Elizabeths tenure, yet now he can’t appear on the show because of Hasselbeck’s dangerous views? She hasn’t changed her views since her debut but she did clean Barry’s friends clock, prior to Rosie ending up on his cutting room floor!
Way back in July we started getting psyched up for Barry Manilow’s upcoming album, The Greatest Songs of the Seventies, and its sure-to-be-amazing lead track, a duet with Rosie O’Donnell on “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.” And now, just weeks before the record’s September 18 release, Billboard reports the horrifying news that the song has been cut from the album!:
“But Rosie : was inspiring,” he continues. “She’s not a singer, really, and she got behind that mic and she turned into a rock ‘n’ roll singer. I hope people don’t think we didn’t put it on because she wasn’t great. She was great. It’s a wonderful cut; it just doesn’t fit on the album, but it’ll probably be a bonus cut somewhere.”
Where does tolerance fit into this equation?

I’m really sorry to hear this. Hasselbeck’s dangerous views? Try realistic views. Guess I’ll be boycotting this idiot as well. I vote with my purse. Thanks for posting.

Barry Manilow was known for his soft music and his big nose. Now he will be known for his monumental stupidity and partisanship. The View is better off without him on.

What else will this muttonhead do to get the usial amount of liberal idiots to listen to him howl like a coyote with a burr in its backside

Barry Manilow I’ve met. He’s a lightweight but he’s a very nice man. And what, pray tell, does the size of his nose have to do with the thread topic PDC?
He’s a bit passé but he’s an out gay man and for that we should all be grateful.
Why is this blog increasingly all about gay people suddenly out of positive things to say about the Bush dictatorship?
Not surprising.

Eben, stop your Hetrophobia.
This administration is no dictatorship. The Clinton administration was more of a Evita Peron style dictatorship.

“Bush dictatorship?”
Uhh…yeah. That’s doesn’t exactly instill confidence that you have a realistic perspective.
“And what, pray tell, does the size of his nose have to do with the thread topic PDC?”
In all fairness, PCD was correct- that is one of the two things Barry Manilow is known for.

I liked Larry the Cable Guy’s joke about Rosie O’Donnell on The View: “Rosie was blocking the view”.
And as for Barry What-a-Nose, his music was ok for the time it was popular (notice you almost never hear it played today) and he made a lot of money and was popular. So why does he have to go out of his way to be a wanker now, and as PCD correctly points out, change his legacy to being known forever as a Leftist Hollywood idiot?
And, at least according to what SFL opined on another topic, if he is gay, then Manilow “…has no credibility”. Not my idea; that was SFL’s.

4- He an out gay man? When did this happen Eben? You might want to let Barry know he came out.
Gay issues are a topic that we have discussed long before you came here. We talk about Hollywood, because we started as Boycott Hollywood.com

I never heard he was an outed gay man. Who knew? Oh sure, I had heard the rumors. Never verified, no one ever came out and said they were his lover, and I personally never bothered to really think about it. Maybe it’s because I do not CARE what a persons sexual orientation is. In fact I would prefer they keep it to themselves. Call me old fashioned but I never did like public displays of affection.

NO IDEA what you are talking about, Robert.
Pull it up, and prove I said that.
What you might be confusing yourself with is, regarding the Sen. Craig (R) gay-bust…if the man presents himself as something other than what he really is, then he is a hypocrite.
And if you are a hypocrite in politics – being gay and yet voting against gay issues and/or pretending not to be gay…then, no, you don’t have much credibility.
I would hope we can all agree on that, at least.

11- I see what you are saying SFL but my sil’s want recognition as a couple but don’t believe in gay marriage..there is nothing hypocritical about them, nor are they closeted lesbians.

Your comments on Jeff Gannon, SFL. What a short memory you have.
And yes, a hypocrite is a hypocrite, a crook is a crook. I say let the chips fall where they may with these pols.
The problem is:
Republicans take out their trash. Democrites protect theirs.
