Hillary: would “cut the Latino dropout rate in half,” spend $10 billion on universal pre-kindergarten and pass the Dream Act to give legal status to illegal aliens who go to college or join the military.

Wow! But Hillary was not to be outdone by Biden:

He added he finds it “offensive” that the immigration debate is “about ways to keep Spanish-speaking people out of the country” when the “majority” of undocumented aliens aren’t Latin Americans but instead come from such non-Spanish-speaking countries as Ireland, Poland, Japan and Indonesia.

Campaign manager Luis Navarro later corrected Mr. Biden ” saying people who don’t speak Spanish are not a “majority” of illegals but rather comprise 40 percent.

The Pew Hispanic Center state that 57% of illegal aliens are of Mexican origin and about 24% are of non-Mexican Latin American origin. They also report that while the number of legal immigrants (including LPRs, refugees, and asylees) arriving has not varied substantially since the 1980s, the number of illegal aliens has increased dramatically and, since the mid 1990s, has surpassed the number of legal immigrants.
John has a great synopsis on Hillary’s promises

Liberals do not believe in the soverignity of the US. If anyone doubts it, try reading Strobe Talbot’s treatise in Time Magazine. It was while Strobe was with Time before he joined the Clinton Crime Family in the White House.

Hillary is Jimmy Carter in a pants suit.

But I am beginning to fear that SFL is right- she will be our next President.

The bright side is that after 4 years of Carter, we got Ronald Reagan. Perhaps that is what it will take to turn this country around. The Republicans offer no real alternative, so like an alcoholic the country will have to hit bottem before we sober up and get someone good in the Whitehouse.

It would be painful, Ted, but maybe necessary. I just hope the damage is not so bad we can’t recover.

Illegals in the U.S. Militray. In an era of ever-increasing technical sophistication, where we have the most educated military in U.S. history (sorry John idiot Kerry) and even many enlisted peronnell have college educations, we want to bring in illegals? No Hillary, you pathetic caricature of yourself, we don’t need ANY of your ideas for the U.S. Military.

Hillary needs to get on her broomstick and ride out of the Country, imo.

    10 billion on Pre-K?

Just call it what it is….a free English class. My daughter went to Pre K in Colorado Springs and no it wasn’t the greatest district but their main objective in that classroom was to teach English to the majority of the kids in there.

Actually, I’m all for allowing illegal aliens who want to become citizens to join the military as long as they pass the same standards as US Citizens for education, language skill (no Spanish ASVABs), criminal background, and physical health. I’m of the opinion that if someone is willing to put their life on the line to defend this country for the purpose of being allowed to live here, I’m for letting them do it. They would certainly be better citizens than many of those who were born here and take the great gift of US citizenship for granted. They would apreciate it more. Ask most newly sworn in citizens and they’ll know more about the underpinnings of this country than most of the citizens born here. Now isn’t that a sad commentary on the state of education in this country?
