I'm of the opinion that if someone is willing to put their life on the line to defend this country for the purpose of being allowed to live here, I'm for letting them do it. They would certainly be better citizens than many of those who were born here and take the great gift of US citizenship for granted. They would apreciate it more. Ask most newly sworn in citizens and they'll know more about the underpinnings of this country than most of the citizens born here. Now isn't that a sad commentary on the state of education in this country?
