This is How Ignorant The Left Is
The epitomy of ignorance. As of this posting, the comments section is closed.
It has been reported already that an email from a McConnell aide went out to reporters telling them of the winger attack. But this appears to be the first time that McConnell’s people are publicly acknowledging their role in trying to push mainstream reporters into joining the attack on young Graeme. Stewart acknowledged to the paper that he’d done this as “part of regular conversation with reporters.”
This is Greg’s smoking gun as seen at memeorandum:
An aide to Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell says the senator didn’t mislead WHAS11 News.
Don Stewart, an aide to McConnell, admits he sent an e-mail to Washington reporters. In it, he noted that some conservative bloggers were questioning the financial status of a boy asking Congress to override President bush’s veto of the S-CHIP Bill.
Stewart says he told the senator about his e-mails on Thursday.
Last Friday, WHAS11’s Mark Hebert asked McConnell if he or anyone on his staff had anything to do with an effort to dig into the background of 12-year-old Graeme Frost.
Stewart says there was no effort by him or anyone else in McConnell’s office to slime the 12-year-old, as Democrats allege.
In fact, McConnell’s aide says he sent a follow up e-mail to reporters, telling them there was no story, defending the Frost family.
Last week, this same aide was alledged to have gotten the right to dig into the Frost families background. The truth is that he sent a memo after bloggers started reporting their findings. The truth is, he was alerting the MSM to the controversy surrounding the Frost family.
I wonder, when Harry Reid sent out his memo to many members of the media, was he trying to push mainstream reporters into joining the attack on Rush?

So what’s this all mean? McConnell and friends weren’t behind the original swift-boating, but merely guilty of pushing ‘converstation’ towards the swift-boating?

First of all, there was no swiftboating. Secondly, McConnell’s aid sent an e-mail after the blogs had reported what they had found. I had already had my post up for a day by the time hisoffice had sent the memo. Thirdly, what is it that his aid said to the press other than have you seen what bloggers have found out.
Did Reid contribute to the swiftboating of Rush? Was that swiftboating, or are you going to tell me that is different?

1, Tofu, why are you so resentful of people telling Truth to Power with that power being John Freakazoid Kerry? It all was true.
Tofu, why can’t you deal with the truth about the vetoed SCHIP bill?

SCHIP: Politicians and Parents Exploiting Kids
As the father of two daughters, I have been watching the antics on Capitol Hill with increasing disgust. The only people more contemptible than the politicians who exploit kids like Graeme Frost and Bethany Wilkerson are the parents who allow it.
WTF …
