The Los Angeles Times did some digging and found some rather strange things going on with Clinton fundraising. I am only posting a snippet of a very interesting and telling piece. Read it in its’ entirety please:
Dishwashers, waiters and others whose jobs and dilapidated home addresses seem to make them unpromising targets for political fundraisers are pouring $1,000 and $2,000 contributions into Clinton’s campaign treasury. In April, a single fundraiser in an area long known for its gritty urban poverty yielded a whopping $380,000. When Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) ran for president in 2004, he received $24,000 from Chinatown:
Clinton’s success in gathering money from Chinatown’s least-affluent residents stems from a two-pronged strategy: mutually beneficial alliances with powerful groups, and appeals to the hopes and dreams of people now consigned to the margins:
Many of Clinton’s Chinatown donors said they had contributed because leaders in neighborhood associations told them to. In some cases, donors said they felt pressure to give:The Times examined the cases of more than 150 donors who provided checks to Clinton after fundraising events geared to the Chinese community. One-third of those donors could not be found using property, telephone or business records. Most have not registered to vote, according to public records.
And several dozen were described in financial reports as holding jobs ” including dishwasher, server or chef ” that would normally make it difficult to donate amounts ranging from $500 to the legal maximum of $2,300 per election.
Flip Pidot takes note of the rise of the bundler and takes a close look at Hill’s 3Q refunds.
Two exit questions for you, one of which has already largely been answered in Norman Hsu’s case but which resurfaces here anew. One: When is Obama going to take off the gloves on this issue? He’s uniquely positioned to risk alienating a “minority community” by asking some tough questions, and his polls are near the point where he’s got little to lose. And two: Where’s the money coming from?

Of course there will be no Congressional investigation since the majority party is in as deep as they can get and grasping for more.
Strange; not one peep of this in the MSM! They’re talking about SCHIP (how Bush wants “poor” kids to go without health care).
The talking heads, newsreaders, and propagandists just don’t seem to have discovered fundGate.
Robert- You will love this Drudge headline: HILLARY’S CHOP SUEY CLUB: BIG MONEY FROM BUSBOYS AND DISHWASHERS IN CHINATOWN…
Robert, I edited your comment. Hope you approve

No problem…HilLiary is such a rich target, She is so rotten to the core with corruption…
But IT’S THE REPUBLICANS!!!
Getting rid of the culture of corruption was the dems promise to Americans was it not? Maybe Pelosi and company aren’t aware of this yet?
Either way, I personally hope the party puts her forth as their presidential candidate. I can see almost any of the Republicans beating her. When all is said and done people do NOT want another Klinton presidency.
And while I believe the RIGHT woman would make a good president (Condi Rice comes to mind), Hillary is just not in the same league.
5, BonBon, the Democrats were projecting their worst fault upon the Republicans. If the country’s offices and bureaucracies were swept out and no Democrats allowed to be hired or hold office for 20 years, then the culture of corruption would be broken.
Oh how I wish that would be the case here in Maryland. O’Malley has stuck in the knife and is now starting to twist. One would have thought that with his utter mismanagement of Baltimore and Ehrlichs stellar performance for 4 years would matter but noooooo.
Yeah, I would vote for NO dems for 20 years. At least.
7, the way they are acting nationally, I’d vote that a being a Democrat was a mental illness disqualifying you from voting, jury duty, and public office.
Reading the article, even the third most liberal paper in the US,the LA Times, has commented about having serious doubts about the legality of the donations. They also say that some of the “neighborhood associations” have historically been criminal syndicates. They’re the CHINESE MOB. There’s no need to sugar coat it. These people were told to either act as fronts for illegal contributions or wind up face down in a hot wok.
This is just another extension of the Chinese buying access to the US President, just like they did with Bill. The same kind of access that got Bubba to sign off on the sale of advanced missile guidance technology against the recommendation of his own State Department. When Norman Hsu got caught, they had to come up with another way to get her the money. I’m really starting to think that taking a Chinese language class might not be a bad idea. Of course, I’m also starting to wonder if my friend that’s stockpiling ammo might be on to something.
