Perhaps they should listen to their own rhetoric from last year about working in a bi-partisan way, but I don't expect that anytime soon. First, they have to figure out the "bi-partisan" doesn't mean that the other party just caves in. Once the Democrats figure out that gazing at one’s shoes doesn’t qualify as a “NewD irection”, they may actually accomplish something.
